Their eyes shine in the moon’s light as they fight. Their movements are fluid, smooth, and predatory. Lean, taunt muscles lay beneath different colors of fur and sharp incisors are visible beneath black gums. Blood spatters over their beautiful coats and color the ground red as they snap, tear, and wound each other.

Fur standing on end, you approach the two groups as they pause and separate as they take notice of your presence. Two pairs of eyes stand out to you and unnerve you. Both seemed to draw the respect out of you without your consent as you lower your head and tuck your tail between your legs. Power radiated from them both, and you’re unsure whether it was the large, dark grey male with golden eyes, or the black female with bright green eyes that had the strongest air to them. They both stood across from each other, and large groups of other wolves and Werelings in human forms stand on each side behind them. All of their eyes bore into you and you stop as you stand before the two obvious leaders.

Your muscles tense and they begin to shake as your wolf side slowly draws you towards one side, your true nature, good or evil, slowly reveals itself as you make your decision. Which side will you choose? Will you choose the path of light and good? Or the path of dark and evil?

Venantium or Eternals?

The tall, broad shouldered man's hair was the color of dark chocolate and stood up every which way from days of no sleep. His head hanged as he walked with utterly no purpose. The shadows about his eyes suggested stress and a lack of rest, but despite these the health and power about the proud character was almost tangible by the way he moved, the look in his eyes, and the ripple of muscle that was visible even beneath his favorite black coat.

His face was handsome, almost seraphic. Many a lass had fallen for him just by getting a glimpse of his face, and many had had their heartbroken. Not by Ignis's choice by any means. No, he wasn't the cocky, I-am-the-boss, kind of guy that you were liable to find anywhere these days. There was a calm wisdom about him, something that usually gained him a lot of friends and respect. Beneath his honey brown eyes hid a flame though, hiding an anger and unrest that'd been within him since he'd woken in the fisherman's cottage. He remembered nothing before the fisherman healing him within his home other than his name and that he was a wereling. Who his family was, his home, his last name, and his pack was, Ignis hadn't a clue.

Sighing, Ignis stopped as a scent wafted into his nose. It be a pack, I suspect. Ignis's wolf said within his mind and stirred restlessly. Looking about him and making sure there were none around Ignis slipped immediately into his wolf form, a giant beast that stood only an inch shy of eleven feet tall. His fur was a pale reddish brown with a streak of black across his shoulders. His brown eyes blinked, before he allowed his head to go back and he howled. As soon as his melodious song was done, his form wavered and he stood once more in human form as his sharp eyes took in the dark night surrounding him. Stuffing his hands in his pockets and the six-foot-nine man tried not to look as lost as he felt.

The large form made it’s way to the frozen water, huge paws poking the ice gently. It cracked underneath the fae’s weight like wood splintering as an anvil was dropped upon it. She shook her head, knowing time upon the ice would be a long while. It had been a while since Teimhninh had taken the form of her wolf, and she wished to stretch her legs out. She stared along the beach, nothing but sand to try to hold her back. The fae shook out her snow-colored fur and began into a long legged lope across the beach. That familiar burn in her muscles gave her the satisfaction that she had craved that night. Pushing harder against the ground with her rear legs, she bounded across the sand until she broke into a dead sprint across the ground. At this speed, it was a miracle that she could see where she was going. Things passed her like a blur, suddenly snapping back to full clarity as she backpedaled to a dead stop. Determined not to tumble head over heels, Teimhnin regained her balance and sniffed the air. As she had gotten before, there was something off about it. She trotted in the direction of the scent and came to a halt at the sight of a man. A brute, nonetheless. She came to stand in his view as a white wolf, slowly shifting back to be an alphess with wavy crimson hair that fell just past her shoulders. She hugged her coat around her body but looked upon the newcomer with an air of dominance. “Who are you, and what are you doing in my pack lands?”

(Good with me... Finding myself running on empty with creativity at the moment.)

Taking a deep breath Ignis caught the scent of another. A low warning growl rumbled within his chest, to alert the other they were getting close. Tilting his head, Ignis watched as a white female approached him and turned into a beautiful red head female. The dominance upon her was apparent, and something about that triggered a memory to tickle at the edge of his mind. He grabbed for it, but was only to be filled with despair and disappointment as it slipped from his grasp. If the female had not been standing before him he would've gladly went wolf and found something to tear apart like a pouting pup. Instead a deep sorrow filled him, and this showed within his sad, deep chocolate eyes. Ignis had a problem with keeping emotions out of his face, and was an exceptionally terrible liar. It made for making friends easily though. Despite this he still managed to look opposing, and his Scottish accent usually had the lasses swaying.

Remembering his manners Ignis bowed slightly, averting his gaze so that she could not see the pain and confusion within his eyes. "I'm Ignis." Again, the memory, a name, niggled at his mind and was just as quickly gone. "I seek to..." He paused. What did he want? Why had he howled? He could've just skirted around this territory all together and went on his way. Something about this place felt right though, and so he continued in a thick accent, "I wish to join your pack lass, that is, if you don't mind having an old rapscallion like me within your ranks. I can be useful."

Arching a single brow, she listened to the male speak. The expression upon her face was cool and calculating, as if she were trying to see through him. Teimhnin crossed her arms over her chest and shifted her weight to one foot. She took a step and circled him, the alphess wolf within her sizing up the loner. “Rapscallion you say? We’ll have to see about that. What is this.. usefulness you claim to have?” The alphess stopped in front of him and looked at him with icily silver eyes. In her haste to question this male she had forgotten to introduce herself. Offering a freckled, fair-skinned hand she spoke. “I’m Alphess Teimhnin, it’s a pleasure Ignus.” She waited for him to speak quietly.

Stroking a hand along his strong jaw Ignis couldn't help the smile that spread upon his lips when she spoke. There was a laughter in his eyes, and he suddenly decided he could easily be friends with this young Alphess. "Well, I can't say much about my past. Unusual circumstances have made it impossible for me to remember much." He gave an apologetic shrug. "I can at least say I'm a good fighter, and I tend to be protective, but if I'm ever overly so, feel free to tell me as much. Other than that, everything else about me you'll have to figure out as time goes on, cause not even I know much." He frowned then, but allowed himself to go quiet as he awaited the female's answer.

She skeptically listened to what he had to say and nodded before nodding her head towards the road and beckoning him to follow her. “Alright, well I’ll have to be the one to tell you how the pack works. We will support you until you can stand on your own and pay for your own expenses. It is our job to bring you the career of your choice and your job to not let it fall through and support yourself and your own costs with it. So please tell me what you have an interest in career field wise and I’ll see what we can come up with.” The alphess led him to a smattering of buildings that trailed off to the coast side and along the edges of the ocean. “These are the wereling living quarters, I’m sure you’ll find them satisfactory. You may pick one and begin your future in this pack after I have your oath. We all have pasts here, maybe you can make a new one.” Saying all she had to say, Teimhnin look to the male and waited for his response with crossed arms.

Ignis looked at the place that was to be his home with lively brown eyes. Tilting his head to the side he watched as a black blur moved through the sky. "Alphess, I'd like you to meet my friend, Odin." The black blur moved in a flash of black and landed with a flutter of wings upon the man's broad shoulders. There was a caw as the raven ruffled its feathers and regarded the Alphess with extremely intelligent eyes. Reaching up, Ignis stroked the black bird's neck. "I used to work a veterinary hospital for raptors and would heal and send injured raptors back into the wild. I'll start up a business somewhere around here." He sighed,"I would like to ask that I be left alone for the first few days of living here. I've extended a lot of energy coming here, and need rest to restore. I'll sustain myself on fish and wild game for now, if that is fine with you." Cocking his head to the side he bowed his head and said, "As for my oath, I swear to you that I will defend this pack and yourself. Any threats to it will have to walk over my dead body first."

Hearing Ignus’s words, she nodded slowly and looked around the sky until she spotted the raven. With a brow raised, she watched it land on the wereling’s shoulder silently. Teimhnin nodded and shifted her feet. She herself had a pet, though a horse was far larger than a raven. Her silver hues connected with the raven’s dark eyes blankly, nodding along with Ignus’s words as well as his request. “Just choose your living space and you shall be left alone as you please. We have an alliance with the other pack, you will not see war anytime soon. Go ahead and do your business.” She listened to his oath closely to make sure his words were genuine. Finding no faults, she nodded. “Alright then, welcome to Venantium Warrior Ignus. I will be taking my leave, feel free to do as you please within reason.” Waving once, she turned and shifted. Loping her way towards home, the alphess vanished from sight.
