Melissa stumbled through the woods, clutching to the trees for support as she passed them. Her hair fell in loose waves around her face and wrapped around her shoulders. Her eyes were wide, taking in everything around her. She didn't know what was wrong with her vision, but she could suddenly see everything much clearer. There was no more need for her contacts, they actually hurt to be worn. Was that because of this?
Mel stopped walking, the scent changing in the air suggesting it a good idea. Her... other side told her to do so. She wasn't really sure what to do next, so she stood there awkwardly, wrapping her arms around herself. She wasn't cold, she was just nervous. What should she do next? Mel cleared her throat before calling out.
"Hello? Anyone out there..."
She drifted off slowly before looking down at her bare feet. What was she doing here? She was acting like she was in some silly horror movie. But they weren't real, weren't supposed to be anyway.
But this one was. And all she could do was wait around like all the other idiots in the movies. Wait for whatever had chased her out here.
