Their eyes shine in the moon’s light as they fight. Their movements are fluid, smooth, and predatory. Lean, taunt muscles lay beneath different colors of fur and sharp incisors are visible beneath black gums. Blood spatters over their beautiful coats and color the ground red as they snap, tear, and wound each other.

Fur standing on end, you approach the two groups as they pause and separate as they take notice of your presence. Two pairs of eyes stand out to you and unnerve you. Both seemed to draw the respect out of you without your consent as you lower your head and tuck your tail between your legs. Power radiated from them both, and you’re unsure whether it was the large, dark grey male with golden eyes, or the black female with bright green eyes that had the strongest air to them. They both stood across from each other, and large groups of other wolves and Werelings in human forms stand on each side behind them. All of their eyes bore into you and you stop as you stand before the two obvious leaders.

Your muscles tense and they begin to shake as your wolf side slowly draws you towards one side, your true nature, good or evil, slowly reveals itself as you make your decision. Which side will you choose? Will you choose the path of light and good? Or the path of dark and evil?

Venantium or Eternals?

The black beast broke the silence inside the forest covered with in red. His big paws breaking the dead branches of the trees over his head. His breathing was calmed but his thoughts where a mess. He could feel he wasn’t alone, not exactly knowing why. He stopped and looked around, his green yellowish eyes scanning the place through the trees. A big yawn showed all his white long fangs and with his black claws he massaged his neck. He hasn’t sleep for days now and couldn’t find the reason why. He was tired and all but not the slightest dream could come to him.

The black wolf moved close to a trunk and lied next to it. The chains in his neck and waist clicking with the touch of the ground. He straightened his front legs and curled up in a ball with his furry tail covering his snout. He watched one more time across the place and then closed his eyes, trying to get some rest but unable to success.

As always, the silence was deafening...
why had she come here again?

Fragile leaves and twigs broke beneath her weight as she traveled further into the wooden keep, an unsettling feeling lying in her stomach. The urge to tuck her hands into the ebony jacket's pockets came upon her but as muscles went to do the action, she hesitated. "Never put your hands in your pockets while walking, Arielle. If you fall, nothing will be there to catch you." came her mother's voice, cautioned yet gentle on the child's ears.

But what if, mother, you've already fallen far enough? Scoffing in amusement at herself, Arielle found herself farther into the woods than she'd realized. Cursing beneath her breath, the Beta immediately took out her phone in an attempt to bring up a map. To her dismay, there was no connection nor batter power left to sustain the map application. A deep laugh vibrated within the depths of her mental chambers, the audible amusement continuing for what seemed like eternity. Mocking me now are you? came Arielle's bitter thoughts to the wolf within. El only scoffed, laughter finished, before returning to her dormant state.

... Hazel orbs halted mid-action, one hand buried in her jacket pocket to dispose of her phone, entirely focused on a fallen figure. Lying in in a feeble ball, even in such a relaxing position the creature's fearsome aura did not lessen. Most would have ran, fleeing before it noticed their presence, but Arielle, instead, simply gave a disgusted scoff. Having now been turned into a werewolf, it seemed running into them, on her daily activities, was inevitable.

His ears perked to the sound of steps interrupting his focus. He opened his eyes, one marked with a long scar, and looked at the new comer. This was a good place though; the leaves and branches always make notice of another one around. Daiken watched the girl staring at him, not knowing what she was waiting for. He exhaled loud so she could hear. That was just a warning for her to be careful and think better her next move. His tail moved just the necessary to show his snout, now with his lips lifted showing his fangs. His life has thought him to don’t trust at the first sight. With time, even the ones very closed to him had stabbed him in the back.

He was about to interrogate her but then thought better and let the female spoke first, that if she was still attempting to stay near him after his threatening act. He kept looking up at her, taking notice of her body and cloth. ‘There is something weird with her. It could be her braveness or that lost look in her eyes. Who is this girl?'

The eyes of the wolf seemed as though they were attempting to pierce flesh and bone, seeking out the already shattered soul. No word had yet left her pale lips, knees slowly bending to view the male better. Delicate fingers snaked to her pockets again, searching for a cigarette - but none was to be found. Taking a deep breath, Arielle let it go before clicking her tongue in annoyance. Again her hazel eyes fled to the wolf, ever so curious.

His warning flew by, hardly acknowledged, earning only a small grin in return. So who was he exactly; was he of her pack or another one? Arielle couldn't even remember her pack's name in that moment, so she was unable to ask him.

It seamed she didn't had any intentions to leave, or attack him, but Daiken was not taking the risk to drop his defense, not yet. Another loud breath came from his snout, his chest lifting and going down again. He was not sure how to react now. If his companion was a male he would sure gave a last warning snarl or even a slight bite in the air to make him leave, but this wasn't the case. She in fact looked... peacefull, or bored.

His eyes moved to her as she blended to the ground and then her hands that were looking for something in his pockets but seaming to be absent. Her moves tensed his muscles and his back fur raised a little. His warning stare and exposed fangs completely ignored but remained in his expression.

Knowing she wasn't going to chit chat with him, he decided to start with a single question. "What?" His voice harsh and slightly moving his jaws.

Awaiting the male's reaction, Arielle's knees eventually became tired of holding her up and forced her to plop down into a sitting position. The whole situation was almost comical in her eyes. Here before her, lay a, at least, ten foot werewolf, and she, in mere human form, a form she was accustomed too, leisurely sat there before him. It was boring but occupied her for now.

The aggressive warnings remained firm, each breath from his ebony muzzle very distinctive. Shortly after, his voice shot out a single word, and, again, Arielle stood, pushing back the loosely clinging hood so she may see him better. Each step was taken somewhat boldly yet still held an unseen spring, prepared to dodge any attack, as best as she could being human. El had yet to speak, still lying dormant, but Arielle couldn't give a rat's ass. She didn't need her werewolf side to be there to protect her. She was fine on her own.

Without hesitation, Arielle neared the raven black stranger until, should he allow her that close, she stood, roughly, two yards away. Bending to meet his eye level, slim fingers brushed dirty blonde waves from her view, her face nearing him ever so slowly. Arielle continued until she was permitted, stopping when he showed any sign of aggression, then continuing again, to be a foot from his ebony features. Close as allowed, the only sound from her end being hollowed breathing, Arielle smirked, releasing a short scoff in amusement.

He waited for an answer but she didn't gave any, until she started moving again. Closer and closer to him, taking care to not miss any sign that he could make as an attempt to attack her. With each step she took, his mind told him to move, snarl, lift, anything. But he didn't move, even his breathing stopped, looking interested at the female's braveness. He hid his fangs again, but his hard stare was still there. He was now curious how much more space she would risk to get near him.

His tension incremented, his muscles from his legs and shoulders hard, ready to jump and grab her neck if she wanted to start something she will not be able to end. As he heard the scoff, he couldn't prevent his lips curled slightly in amusement. 'What is this girl thinking? What is she testing?'

Arielle was surprised she'd been allowed to near him so close, his breathing halting completely at some point. Was he frightened or simply unsure on how to react? When his canines disappeared behind his gums, the grin grew, but not overly so. Hands instinctively going to her pockets out of boredom, her face remained the same distance form his own. Arielle went to remove her hands but halted, a thought crossing her. What if he believed, especially at their proximity, she was to reveal a weapon? Her ignorance to not think of this angered her, a click of the tongue expressing her annoyance. Slowly, the dark jacket was removed, balled up then discarded behind her, showing him that, even if there had been a weapon inside the jacket, it was now entirely out of her reach. To follow, her palms opened as well, revealing their empty state, and so, satisfied, she continued on.

Arielle didn't near him anymore, instead she began to rise her left hand, a tan arm outstretching at a snail's pace. Had he made a sound, Arielle ignored it, and instead she began to let out a soft sound, attempting to shush his doubts of his own safety, "Shh..." Her target was obvious, the luscious ebony waves appearing to soft to ignore any longer. Would he allow her the satisfaction or would she loose her left hand? Well, she smirked slightly, should he attack, at least she was right handed.

She stopped, at a distance so thin that they could both attack the other without any effort. He watched as she placed her hands inside her pockets again. Was that a habit of her? Was she nervous? Her next move amused him. She doubt while taking out her hands and then she removed her jacket. The thought of her undressing was interesting. Did she thought he was worried for a weapon or something? If that was true, she could also thought he would smell the gunpowder if it was a fire weapon, even a knife has a distinctive smell of iron. He knew it because he always used two daggers in his human form.

His thoughts were interrupted with her hand getting close to him. This time he was angry, his eyes closing a little in annoyance. 'Am I a dog or a pet to you?' His thoughts wanting to become words but he remained silent. His fangs again showed to her and a low snarl came from his throat. He was curious to what she will do with this warning. He had no intentions to bite, what could she do with one hand in her human form? Still, he was attentive to her movements.

Arielle's hand hesitated, hardly a hair width from the ebony fur. She stayed there, have bent over, near enough to loose her hand and possibly her life, though the danger had no hope of affecting her, contemplating whether touching this stranger was the best idea. "What?" the male's words ricocheted throughout her mind once more, those same pale lips curling into another grin while remembering it.

Turning a blind eye to the danger, the woman's desire for a thrill, no matter how trivial, won over logic. In a brief, swift movement her hand came in contact with the fur, the ebony tussles just as soft as she'd hoped. The touch wasn't a pet nor a stroke of pity or demeaning nature, although, in truth, it was difficult to tell exactly what it was at all.

Satisfied, the Beta suddenly stood, not fearing his aggression anymore, for she had no reason to fear death, and went to collect her jacket from the ground. Instead of putting it back on, Arielle tied the item around her waist, the dark color highly contrasting the common white tea she displayed now. "Sorry," the voice suddenly arose, though the apology was hardly true, "I simply thought if I could get close enough, I'd be able to see the handsome exterior to match the voice."

He waited for her to retreat or continue. Just as he thought, she continued, again ignoring his warnings. Her hand rested for a split moment over his big head which moved down to avoid the contact. His snarl grew telling that it will soon be a bite. It was enough that he permitted her to get that close and then touch him. Before he could react or say something she withdrew her hand and moved quickly toward her jacket.

Daiken lifted quickly from the ground, shaking his fur like if it was wet. Her voice was soft and feminine but with a tone of mucking around them. "Hmp! Who do you think you are?" His salmon pink tongue dancing between his fangs. His angry expression never changing.

Brushing a random thread of hair back into its place, Arielle smirked as he spoke once more, his large form suddenly standing. Sighing, Arielle decided leaning against the nearest tree was her save best, for running was a waste of energy and simply no fun at all. "I am just a mere human, nothing more." The reply came harshly, one free hand adjusting her sandals out of boredom. "You're cute when you're angry." She stated matter-a-factly, pushing off the tree, ready to leave the temperamental wolf be.

"Got a name?" She dare not reveal she did not intend to return the favor, but a name would be nice, just in case.

He moved closer to her without doubting. Now it was his turn to test her, even thou be believed she was not so temperamental like him. He stopped until he was half a feet from her face. Daiken inhaled deeply grabbing her scent inside his lungs. Leaving the air come out, he replied a little annoyed. "A simple human, doesn't it?" His words filled with sarcasm. The scent of a werewolf can't be hide, not from another werewolf. He moved one step backwards not taking his sight from her. "I asked you first." A smile curled his black lips. The question 'Who do you think you are?' also includes a name, not just a race.

Arielle watched, eyes entirely cloaked with boredom, as the towering canine approached without hesitation. He drew nearer until very little space remained between them, something she didn't mind in the slightest. Speaking once more, Arielle listened to him in silence, quietly realizing he now had her corner against the tree she'd been previously resting against.

"And...?" Arielle responded, still not seeing reason to share her own name. "I do not owe my name to someone whom I do not even know the face of...yes?" Arielle teased, a bright grin displayed.

A big grin crossed his scarred face. This female was one interesting being. An amusing reply made him laught a little. He was interested to see which one was going to reveal something about themselves first. "I don't show my face to someone I doesn't know his wolf form. That if, you are a werewolf." His voice wrapped in sarcasm again. He stared at her waiting for wathever she had to fight back.

Furious, pale lips spat spit at the male wolf, an angered growl releasing from her throat. Arielle stepped forward in haste, eyes fearsome as they occupied the wolf's delivery, "I am only a werewolf technically. I hate your kind therefor you have no hope of seeing my wolf form, unless I-" Arielle stopped her words, realizing she did not know this wolf and should she give him a way to meet El he may actually try it.

"Look, sexy-toned, you've worn out your entertainment level." Clicking her tongue, Arielle sidestepped to get out of his cornering against the tree. She had no clue which way was home, but anywhere was better than with him at the moment.

Daiken laught at her reaction. "Aawww, YOU are sexy when you are angry." He repited just like she said to him before. His tail moved amused from side to side. He saw her as she turned and started leaving. This was getting interested.

He moved quickly and silently to a tree in front of her way and shifted to his human form surprisingly fast without her to notice, jumping efortlessly to an upper branch right above her head. Appearing right in front of her line of vision he lied over the thick branch lifting his feet and resting them over it.

A handsome black haired men around 25 years was looking at her now, his eyes yellowish green dressed only with black boots, jeans, a black leather jacket, and a buttom gray shit open revealing a huge tribal tattoo in the right of his muscled chest. A half smile crossed his face. "My kind? And what exactly are those like?" His voice was not as harsh as before, more seductive and light.

The phone held no hope, no life and no path for her to follow. Should her finger dare touch the map application, the woman already knew the phone would die. With just single digits remaining, Arielle decided to return it to the dark chambers of her jean pocket. To herself, the Beta only grumbled in annoyance, her tongue clicking again to express her irritation further.

Grasping the boot which suddenly blocked her path, simply tugging as she walked on by, releasing when she became to far away. "Deceiving." came Arielle's answer as her form walked further from him. Leaves crumbling as she halted, head slowly turning to look upon his own features, firm voice continuing, "Beyond deceiving, you are tyrants, unable to accept those born like you. Besides, you live to long for my liking and are too...durable. But on the upside, I was correct, the face matches the voice."

Daiken thought for a moment in her words, at first smiling telling her she was right, she described him perfectly, but not totally. Then, the smile was still there but forced and face, his eyes showing that he was serious and somewhat annoyed. "You are right, I don't accept others, no matter the kind, but youuu don't know why." Remembering her other 'insult' he added. "And just for curiosity, how many years do you have? How much do you think I have?"

He then also remembered what she told him before 'I do not owe my name to someone whom I do not even know the face of.' "I took the time to show my 'face' to you. Could you give you name now or it's still too much to ask for?" His fake smile already gone, his face was serious and his mouth a straight line.

Halting completely, hazel eyes stared up at him, narrowed to show their obvious dislike of him. "I don't care if you don't accept others, but having them..." Arielle's teeth grinding as her eyes avoided his own, El stirring within at the mere mention of their past traumas, "you don't know the torture I've gone through." Why was she doing this? Bringing up the harsh memories and sharing, even vaguely, things with a mere strangers? "I am only twenty three years old; too old. I believe you have too many years then you deserve. Believe me, there are others who deserved those years more than you."

The conversation was heavy with tension at Arielle's end, her anger for being werewolf coming out onto him. To make matters worse he looks just like him, whom she just recently found out was not only in town but was also the other Eternal Beta.

"My name is Arielle." she let her last name remain to be her own knowledge, the smile on her own face has diminished, her name only given for she knew it was due.

His features relaxed when she mentions she had a rough past. He was surprised she did share that to him after the 'confrontation' both where having. Daiken lowered his face looking at the branch under him. Those words just reminded him of his own past. Sadness and rage invaded his soul. He let out a heavy sight and closed his eyes, his voice lowered. "You are not the only one. The fact I had live long doesn't mean it was a pleasant life. At the contrary, more scars mark your body and soul." He stopped a moment. "I don't wish any of my years to anyone." The only topic that really afected him was his past, and she just made him remember that hell.

Daiken opened his eyes. There was no more seriousness in his features, just a neutral expression that removed every wrinkle he had before. "119 years to be exact. Hope you don't think that means I'm old. My growth stopped at the age of 27, after that I barely feel the time passing." He turned to her and ended "I'm Daiken." He promised he would never use his lastname again, not after what his bloodline did.

Arielle contemplated his words, swaying silently where she stood. Letting them fly by, he continued to speak, her body using the nearest tree for support. "119? I don't find you old at all, besides, I've slept with pures older than you." Her comment came out beyond casual, as if speaking of such matters was her daily life. Adjusting the hair form her eyes, Arielle again pushed off the tree, again walking away from him.

"Adieu, loup-pur." Arielle grinned to herself as she walked off, for despite being lost, she was glad to at least ran into such an intriguing, yet infuriating, person for the day.
