Their eyes shine in the moon’s light as they fight. Their movements are fluid, smooth, and predatory. Lean, taunt muscles lay beneath different colors of fur and sharp incisors are visible beneath black gums. Blood spatters over their beautiful coats and color the ground red as they snap, tear, and wound each other.

Fur standing on end, you approach the two groups as they pause and separate as they take notice of your presence. Two pairs of eyes stand out to you and unnerve you. Both seemed to draw the respect out of you without your consent as you lower your head and tuck your tail between your legs. Power radiated from them both, and you’re unsure whether it was the large, dark grey male with golden eyes, or the black female with bright green eyes that had the strongest air to them. They both stood across from each other, and large groups of other wolves and Werelings in human forms stand on each side behind them. All of their eyes bore into you and you stop as you stand before the two obvious leaders.

Your muscles tense and they begin to shake as your wolf side slowly draws you towards one side, your true nature, good or evil, slowly reveals itself as you make your decision. Which side will you choose? Will you choose the path of light and good? Or the path of dark and evil?

Venantium or Eternals?

1 The Better Man [Damian] on Tue Jan 07, 2014 7:46 pm

Days had passed since he had joined the ranks of the Eternal Darkness pack. He was a Warrior, but had aspirations to achieve much more than that. He had spoken with the Alphess on the members of the pack briefly. She mentioned the Beta who was her best friend, though he could not recall the name of the other. Then they spoke of Damian, the mutt. Axel showed a great interest to the Alphess on the behalf of him and his rank. He was one of the first wolves she accepted into her lands, but that was not an issue. The ancient wolf knew much more about things of werewolves than a lowly boy with human relations. Axel moved about the city int he night. The stars lighted his path briefly. But the lights of the city tried their hardest to drown out the beauty. In the dark of night, the snow shone brightly. Tucking his hands into the depths of his pockets, he looked around the area. Shuffling around the things in his pockets, he pulled out a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. It was a nice enough night for a good smoke. Though he did not need the nicotine, he liked the feeling it gave over his body. Placing one from the box, he pressed it tight between his two lips, while he tucked the box away. Flicking the lighter to give the small flame, he held it close to the white end. As it would not light, he blocked his body from the slight breeze and covered the tip with his hands. When it was finally lit, he puffed three times to keep it lit and tucked the lighter back in his pocket. As he stood there, he watched the stars again and the snow fall.

Damian had been working hard this day. He counted the hours until he could go and be with Amora. She had trapped herself into his mind, keeping a bind on his heart and forcing himself to love her alone. All the other girls he had ever slept with did not matter. It was as if they were erased from his mind. Damian moved about the hotel, doing things here and there until he could go home. When he got home, he discovered that Amora had gone out for the evening with a couple girls. He was fine with that, a night he could do his own thing. Opening up the fridge, he grabbed a beer and started to sip on it as he changed his clothes. He changed for the weather outside, moving around the room as he looked for something to do. He turned on the TV, but there was nothing to see for him. Everything looked boring or he had already seen it. He flipped through channel after channel, finally he shut it off. He walked around a bit, grabbing the weights from the bedroom. He lifted and curled them a few times, but again, he felt bored. He went from reading books, to drawing, and then finally finished his beer. He decided that perhaps tonight was as good as any for a walk. Leaving the confines of the hotel, he wandered through the night. He made his way down central park, smiling as he saw the snow fall. But as he made his way closer, he saw a figure smoking a cigarette. He sniffed the air around the male, discovering he was a werewolf, new to Eternal Darkness even. "Greetings newcomer, I am Elite Damian, and you are?" he asked as he held out a hand to shake.

He smelled the other before he saw him. He did not care for the other if he was being joined or if he would continue to smoke alone in the snow. As the other neared him, he held a snarl in his throat. He truly did not wish to be bothered, not here and not now. His mind was bouncing from wall to wall, trying to figure out what he was going to do with his feelings. When the male was beside him, he looked over the other. The male was shorter than him, smaller than him in many ways. Even in his clothes he could tell that Axel was more fit than him, even stronger. It could have been the fact he was over hundreds of years older, or for the simple fact that he loved the gym. Axel could spend days in the gym. A habit he had picked up while in prison, along with smoking. Both things he enjoyed, perhaps a little too much. But his interest soon peaked once the other spoke his own name. Elite Damian. The exact male that Axel had been looking for, or had planned to look for. A smile traced over his features, looking to the other with a devilish grin. He sighed as he turned to face the other, finishing his cigarette and flicking the butt to the snow. Extending his hand to the other, he grabbed the Elite's hand. As they shook, he tightened his grip, showing a small sense of the force he had. His smile grew wider than before. "Axel Evans, Warrior under Noctavia, the Alphess herself. I just so happened to have dated Noctavia over hundreds of years ago.. So how long have you been around the pack? A hundred years maybe once she started accepting members? What family do you come from?" The wolf snickered inside, knowing full well Axel knew the truth. He quieted the beast down as he mentally prepared for the events he would push for next.

Taking his hand in his own, Damian stared into his silver ice-like eyes. It was a cold look, one he had seen before. It resembled an old wolf he had once seen, an Alpha male. The Alpha male from his past. Damian stared at him back, answering his questions, what strange questions they were. "I have been a member of the pack for less than a year, coming on to a great year as it is. I am of the Arevalo family. But you would probably not know it. My father denied his rank in the pack, impregnating my human mother. So, no, I have not lived for hundreds of years yet, but I know I will be. Especially with this pack." Damian took his hand back, placing it inside his pocket for warmth. "You dated the Alphess huh? Well I guess things don't really work out too well, since she has a new love. But what family are you from? I have not heard of the Evans clan or anything like that." Damian looked to him, wondering what he would say. "I may not be as old as you, but I am wise in my training, and I know more things than you might think that I do. Already I can tell you are a cocky individual, make quick judgments over others and are more into yourself than anyone else. I do not have time to squabble with you over such small things, Warrior."

It was true, the Elite's name was not one he had known of. Though that could be because he had lived in Europe for hundreds of years, guessing the male's family was from the states. Axel did not like how the conversation was changing, but his wolf stirred happily inside. He had merely wished to get to know the Elite better before he decided to take his rank from under his nose. Axel may have been one to pass judgement on others, but this male was doing it against him currently. So he was filled with double standards. This made Axel chuckle, all the while his wolf continued to claw at the meat cage, constructed of muscle, bone, and organs. Axel released a chuckle to the air, his breath could be seen by both wolves. He laughed so hard, he bent slightly at the waist as his voice bounced off the trunks of trees. Was the Elite really testing him right now. When he finally finished his deep and hearty laugh, he stood straight once more, taking a step closer to the Elite. "I'm not threatening you, but if you keep this shit up, I will be forced to defend myself in the best way I know possible. I have been around for five hundred years now, and if you think a mutt is going to try and make misguided guesses to my life, then you better back the fuck up and get ready, because this shit is about to get real," he snarled as his wolf synced with the vocal uttering of aggression. Axel would not be the first to fight, but he would push the other into an altercation, one he knew he would win.

He did not like the tone of the Warrior before him. It was angry, aggressive, and down right disrespectful. Damian had rightfully earned the rank of Elite and would do anything to keep it. If he lost his rank to this Warrior, would he too lose the woman he loved. If not only fighting for his position, he felt like he was fighting for love. His pride pushed his wolf to the edge, forcing the creature to appear, standing over the male before him. The wolf snarled, allowing Damian to speak, "back up Warrior or this could get ugly. If you think you can come here and just easily strip my rank from me, you have another thing coming. I will not allow this foolish behavior to continue. You better stand back and fight or back down now!" The wolf looked to the male, snarling as it moved in a slow circle around the other wolf. "I would love to rip your throat out of your very neck. It's been a while since I've been a part of a good fight. You better not let me down with all your big guy talk!" Damian moved with his wolf, allowing it to take full control here. He would need as much strength as the pair could muster together. Blue hues stared at the human form before him. The wind cut through the coat of the Elite wolf, causing the rusted color fur to move and sway with the breeze. His ears were alert, as his paws took giant steps, careful and calculated. Damian would not allow his back to be seen by the other.

Perfect. The boy shifted to his stunning and large pet. The pelt was a beautiful mixture of tans, browns, black, and white. The blue eyes stared to him intensely, which caused the brute to chuckle once more. As he was walked around in a slow circle, he pulled out his pack of cigarettes once more. The lighter was fished out of his other pocket. He opened the pack and pulled one stick out with his lips. Again, he lit it the same way as before, only this time it had been harder as the cold front had settled just above them. The wind picked up and the snow fell harder. The once peaceful shapes of ice, were now hard and thick. The crash of them against bare skin was chilling and exhilarating. He smoked peacefully, watching as the anger of the other was building. That was where the elite messed up. One should never allow their opponent to see their feelings, to see how angry they could be. Axel spoke tough words, but he was calmed. The wolf was now patient, but ready. His eyes looked to the way the wolf walked around him. The creature had not been in a fight recently, which was even more good news for Axel. The silver eyed devil continued to smoke quietly amongst himself. Taking a quick puff, he held the cigarette between his two finger, flicking the ashes to the floor. "I'm not saying we have to fight, but if this is what you truly wish, then it will be my pleasure to take that pretty rank of yours and replace it with the dirty one of mine. I wonder how that will feel for your pride, which you obviously have as you are challenging an ancient wolf. Have you not heard of our kind? Of how long we have been training and breeding the best of the best, only for lame mutts like you to be created, when weak males fall for the love of a human bitch. It's saddening really. Must be very lonely as a weak Elite in the pack." Axel continued to chastise the male, forcing buttons he did not even know to be pushed.

"Take it back!" the wolf snarled with a threatening growl. He continued his pace around the other, watching as the Warrior smoked a cigarette, acting as if he was not worried in the slightest. "Such big talk for the male who has not shifted for a fair fight." The wolf snarled and sneered at the other, trying to get something from the other. Damian was furious on the inside, calling his mother a human bitch and even stating that he was lonely. "My mother was not a bitch! She loved and cared for me until I deserted her. Do not speak ill of my family or I shall bite of your tongue so you may never speak ill words to others ever again!" He growled with the wolf this time, allowing his emotions to control his body and the wolf's. "I am not lonely, I am loved by Warrior Amora. I love her and she loved me ten fold. Though I suppose you know nothing of being loved in return, or maybe Noctavia left your sorry ass for the better man!" Damian could barely keep himself still within the wolf. The animal paced, snarling and baring fangs as it moved about the other. His head lowered to the ground, showing an aggressive stance as his back raised, the hairs along stood still, his tail lashed from side to side as he snapped his mighty jaws. Damian was curious to see what kind of wolf this male carried within him.

So he was not lonely. This was good. "Warrior Amora.. Ahh that name does ring a bell... Sexy little thing, isn't she?" he lied. "The things I would do to that tight little.." he stopped himself for a moment as he chuckled through his cigarette. He pulled it from his lips, holding it between his two fingers again. He let it sit from his body now, flicking the butt once more. "It would be a shame if the Warrior came to find you beaten an mangled, or worse, demoted. Do you think she would wish to leave you for the stronger wolf? I mean, studies have shown in the wild, that is how the wolf packs work, our descendents and all that jazz. I would not be surprised if she begged to suck my dick." He continued using this weak point the male had displayed to him. It was confirmed now, Damian was an emotional train wreck. He could not handle the duties of an Elite. What if a rival pack came and they wished to slaughter the lot of the pack, leaving Damian alone to save the rest? They would surely slaughter him without second thought. Axel could not allow a member to be this way, especially one who held such a vital role to the pack. Axel began to speculate over the male, sniffing him closely as he picked up a female scent over him. His careful nose weeded out the stench he held from hers. Upon closer examination, he realized that she was a mixed breed as well. With this discovery, a wicked smile washed over his features. "It would be a shame for you, a mutt, to give another mutt your seed. The pup would be weak, mostly human. There would be little of the werewolf gene in it. It would be a complete waste. Might as well ask another wolf, perhaps a pure blood to sleep with your girl, you know, in case your girl wants to have a baby. I would be happy to volunteer." The wolf chuckled in his chamber, enjoying the words Axel was saying to the other. He encouraged more of it, pushing the anger and aggression forward, with calmed words.

"You don't talk about her like that! Ever! Do you understand me? You stay out of my business, out of her business and keep your own shit in your own head! I don't want to hear you bad mouth any member of this pack, Warrior, and if you think you are better than everyone else, then why don't you leave?" he snapped. Damian stared at Axel, snarling as he shifted his paws in a slow circle. Lifting his tail high above his back, he curled it over his spine. He snapped his jaws, slightly lunging towards him in an attempt to freak him out. He was so angry he could barely keep his mind together. He wanted to kill the beast right here and now, but he knew the Alphess would not think too highly of him. The fact that he was an elder meant nothing to Damian, perhaps it was bad, but he did not care. "Stand down Warrior, before we have some issues and blood is spilled on our lands." Damian was not going to stand down, to let this new wolf just push him around as if his rank did not matter.

Taking the cigarette from between his lips, he finished it and flicked it towards the ground. His silver gaze rolled over the wolf before him. He chuckled gently. With the roll of his shoulders, he shifted to his beastly form. His wolf stood over the height of the others'. Large silver hues stared into the blue orbs before him. He snarled, showing off his large canines. His body was thicker and slightly wider than Damian's. The dark colors of his pelt collected the falling snow. The large male stood before the Elite, snarling as his tail whipped back and forth. It curled over his spine, knowing full well he did not hold the rank or authority to do so, he did not care. He was larger, older, wiser, and in his opinion, the more deserving of the Elite rank. He bared his fangs, pulling his lips back to show the ferocity from within. His wolf snapped at the other, "stand down Elite, or I shall leave your corpse lying in a bloody pulp. The street cleaners will have to bring mops, brooms and dustpans to clean you off the floor!"

"You don't tell me what to do!" he snarled as he lunged at the Warrior. "I am fed up with your crap!" He opened his jaws wide, taking the other's shoulder. The large wolf stared to Damian, almost seeming as if he was not ready for an attack. With great power, he forced his teeth to hold on tight. He would not allow himself to lose, not allow Amora to feel a sense of being let down. He did not know how she would feel about him being demoted, or even if she would stay with him. Just thinking about losing her, caused a fire to burn inside of him. It increased his aggression and power. Age was only a number. Damian could take down any foe as long as he held his mind to it. He was an Elite for a reason, one of the best fighters in the pack. He had an age disadvantage to some, but it had not mattered. All the years he had spent training were leading up to this very moment. Though he had not known it at the time, he would have to fight hard for his rank. He would have to give his all, every little bit of gusto he had, every inch of energy he could keep alive. He would not give up or go down without a good fight.

- In an attempt to quicken this, Elite Damian has allowed me to finish this up. -

As the first attack came towards him, he felt the teeth sink into his shoulder. As the teeth ran through his coat, he released a deafening snarl, baring his fangs. This was the fight the wolf had been looking for. This was the single defining moment that would shift his position within the pack. As he felt the pain seep into the shoulder, his wolf chuckled. "Is that all you've got, Elite?" He chastised the other, trying to force him into a rage, giving them a much better brawl than he could ever imagine. He allowed the Elite to hang from his shoulder for a while, before reaching his heck around and grabbing hold of the Elite's back. With a tight grasp and a flick of his muzzle, he sent the mutt away from him. He took a few steps closer, standing defensively as he pressed his chest forward, snarling with a great anger. Axel allowed his tail to rise, showing his assertive dominance over the other, not only in size, but abilities. He would be the victor this night, and he would prove to any wolf that he was more than worthy of Warrior. But even in his fury, Damian stood to his feet. He snarled and stared back to the iced eyes of the devilish brute. Axel did not move, only waiting for the attack to come after him once more. His eyes focused on the creature before him, targeting vital areas of attack. Though Axel did not wish to kill the boy, he would do his best to make sure Damian never held a higher rank than he. Watching him closely, Damian circled slowly. Snarls and growls escaped from his maw, as blue crystals glared at the Warrior.

"Come at me again boy, show me what you've got," the wolf called to him. Damian snarled back, glaring as he circled the other. Axel moved with him, not allowing his back to be seen. The pain in his shoulder had already disappeared and the wound had healed. The only remnants to there even being an attack, was the blood which rested at the tips of his coat. Strutting faster, he made his approach towards Damian. Damian tried to be quick in his get away, but he was too slow. The hunter tackled him to the floor. Axel wrapped his jaws tight around the throat of the other. His eyes closed as he started to taste the blood touching his lips. Piercing the others' flesh, he snarled and shook his head. Damian was able to pry himself away, not the easiest he had ever done, but not that hard either. Damian ran from the other, racing to open the gap between them. But Axel was hot on his heels once again. The large beast toppled over him, dragging his body to the floor. He applied his weight over Damian, digging his fangs deep into the other, his claws helping to pin him down. The elder wolf snarled and growled as he ripped and tore at the other. But Damian would not give up, he struggled to break free, to try once more to get the upper paw. But Axel was wise to his tricks and held him down harder, attacking the very core of his neck. The blood rushed from him and the wolf snarled, "submit!" Feeling powerless against the large wolf, Damian laid his head upon the snow-covered ground. His eyes closed and his tail tucked as best he could. The Warrior had won, forcing the other to force his rank over.

- Axel is now the Elite of Eternal Darkness -
