Their eyes shine in the moon’s light as they fight. Their movements are fluid, smooth, and predatory. Lean, taunt muscles lay beneath different colors of fur and sharp incisors are visible beneath black gums. Blood spatters over their beautiful coats and color the ground red as they snap, tear, and wound each other.

Fur standing on end, you approach the two groups as they pause and separate as they take notice of your presence. Two pairs of eyes stand out to you and unnerve you. Both seemed to draw the respect out of you without your consent as you lower your head and tuck your tail between your legs. Power radiated from them both, and you’re unsure whether it was the large, dark grey male with golden eyes, or the black female with bright green eyes that had the strongest air to them. They both stood across from each other, and large groups of other wolves and Werelings in human forms stand on each side behind them. All of their eyes bore into you and you stop as you stand before the two obvious leaders.

Your muscles tense and they begin to shake as your wolf side slowly draws you towards one side, your true nature, good or evil, slowly reveals itself as you make your decision. Which side will you choose? Will you choose the path of light and good? Or the path of dark and evil?

Venantium or Eternals?

Warrior Kaiko

Warrior Kaiko

Kaiko slowly walked along her boot softly crunching in a fresh layer of snow. Her breath billowing out in long white clouds coinciding the her deep even breathing. Despite the cold she only wore a light sweater and blue jeans. Even her hands and ears were unprotected. With her hands in her sweater pockets she continued on across the meadow.

After a good long while Bluebell Meadow faded behind her and tall coniferous pines loomed far over her head. Here only the lightest of snow kissed the ground. Kaiko slowly knelt down and with a hand wiped the light dusting of snow from the ground. Grabbing a handful of pine needles she brought it to her nose inhaling the scent. She faintly smiled at the familiar scent.

Most of her life she had spent under the cover of trees. Forests had always been like a security blanket to her never failing to ease her nerves. Its not like she wasn't grateful to her alphess for so generously taking her in. Its just that sometimes out there on the beach she felt so exposed. Like the whole world was watching her, judging her.

Kaiko slowly straightened up the pine needles slipping from her fingers. Falling deafly into the waiting snow surrounding her. Very slowly she raised her face to the sky a steady resounding beastly howl resonating deep within her throat. As she lowered her face and the howl echoed into silence her body quivered and her wolf took over. Arzevic let out a low growl as she came to the surface ready for a run.

She shook out her silver pelt the splash of red that ran along her spine flashing in the bright light. If there was anything she wanted at the moment was to see a familiar face. For awhile all the faces she saw in the neighbor hood were still strangers to her. It almost made her wish her old pack hadn't depart. Then again what else were they suppose to do after the death of their beloved alpha.

Scanning the tree with a calm silver gaze listening in the still silence she slowly pressed forward. Perhaps there was no wereling her but her or any wereling that was was either disinterested and of the Eternal pack. Spring forward she raced through the trees taking the cool air into her lungs. Out of joy of running she sprang off of boulders and jumped off the sides of trees. After a long moment she slowed and then stretched out in the snow. Glad to just enjoy the smells around her.

The black wolf rolled his shoulder blades, swiping the small carcass to the side. He licked his chops, his tongue snaking around his canines then disappearing back inside his mouth. His steady eyes looked out over the land, wide awake yet bored with his surroundings. He was completely and utterly alone. Granted he liked to have his own space, but even loners like himself got lonely. His paws thudded against the ground as he went onward, not bothering to hide within the shadows. He thought he was alone.

Rick didn't bother switching back to his other form. His human self only wore jeans and a black under armor hoody, as well as a light pair of tennis shoes. But his wolf form was much warmer, more comfortable, more natural out here in these woods. Rick had ventured out here for a change of scenery, although he could say now there wasn't much to see. Just big tall stress that scattered pine needles below them, reminding him of a massive pool of blood. Guess that's why it's called Crimson Forest.

In a complete daze, it was the reason Rick had not noticed the other wereling till stumbling over her. Out of habit he snarled, lurching to the side away from the wereling. Female, his senses told him. He growled, unsure if the stranger was eternal, rouge, or loner. His head was held high, his stance defensive. Whenever he wasn't sure what to expect, Rick always felt it best to treat others as enemies. Less injuries to himself that way.

But as the female yipped and yelled at him for stepping on her Rick was shocked. It was her, or at least, he thought it was her. He'd only seen her a couple times, but Rick was nearly sure she was a wolf from Braveheart. He remembered one morning in particular, having breakfast with her as well as Alexander and a couple others. Could it really be the same wolf? Rick's growl ceased and his stance relaxed. "I know you?" He asked. It was an odd question, but for some reason Rick could not remember her name. Did she remember him?

Arzevic growled harshly as the ulf trampled her. Rolling to her feet she stared them down. Not failing to note the males defensive posture. Refusing to be bullied she kept her posture dominant.
Just what do you think you're doing?” Arzevic snarled glaring at the other, “do I look like a door mat to you?”

She narrowed her eyes staring at the male. There was something about this wolf that seemed vaguely familiar. Despite herself she relaxed slightly reaching out her muzzle slightly to take in the other's scent.
I think we know him, Kaiko murmured.
I think so to, Arzevic thought as she dug into her memory.

Trying to recall where she had seen this male before.
Arzevic pricked her ears as the male spoke seeming to recognize her to “ah yes I remember now, your the omega from Braveheart aren't you?” She wagged her tail suddenly happy and grateful to see a familiar face such as his. She hadn't known him well but she'd met him enough to be able to tease him a bit. Before she realized what she was doing she had stepped forwards and rubbed up against him.

Would you calm down and get a grip girl, you're acting like a puppy, Kaiko growled. Arzevic took a step back smiling “it's so good to see you, how have you been?”

(By the way I made a post for me and your other character Melissa been forgetting to let you know about it. https://thewerelings.rpg-board.net/t352-running-with-ghosts-melissa )

Rick shifted his weight backwards, pulling up his front left paw just slightly when the female reached out her snout to gather his scent. He tilted his head slightly, noticing her ears prick. His whole body stiffened momentarily as she rubbed against him, suddenly friendly once she recognized him. "Was," he said rather clipped, not really pleased with his past title. "I'm now a warrior of Venantium."

His shoulders unwound when the female took a step back, giving him his personal space back. "I'm well I guess you could say. A roof over my head and food in my stomach." Rick's wolf eyes scanned over the females features, but for the life of him he could not place a name with her face. "Sorry to say, but I can't remember your name?" Rick was frustrated with himself, he was usually pretty good with remembering names.

Arzevic twitched her tail in amusement at his clipped tone.
Aw how about that our little pup it growing up, Kaiko chuckled. It was strange to think that a male they had meet back in Braveheart who had always kept his head low now held the title of warrior.
Arzevic lifted her head training her sliver eyes on the male "well I must say I'm glad to hear it, being a warrior is no easy feat." Taking a step to the side she eyed him curiously.

She couldn't place it but something about the male had changed. It wasn't just his attitude but something more physical. She couldn't quite explain it. Arzevic scowled at him for not remembering her name. You think with the way she teased him he'd remember at least that much.

Sheesh forgetful much buddy, Kaiko growled.
Arzevic turned from him playfully swiping her tail across his face "why Rick I'm hurt that you don't remember, I guess the only way you're going to find that out is if you can catch me." She looked back at him in amusement. Before he could say anything she bounded away.
