Their eyes shine in the moon’s light as they fight. Their movements are fluid, smooth, and predatory. Lean, taunt muscles lay beneath different colors of fur and sharp incisors are visible beneath black gums. Blood spatters over their beautiful coats and color the ground red as they snap, tear, and wound each other.

Fur standing on end, you approach the two groups as they pause and separate as they take notice of your presence. Two pairs of eyes stand out to you and unnerve you. Both seemed to draw the respect out of you without your consent as you lower your head and tuck your tail between your legs. Power radiated from them both, and you’re unsure whether it was the large, dark grey male with golden eyes, or the black female with bright green eyes that had the strongest air to them. They both stood across from each other, and large groups of other wolves and Werelings in human forms stand on each side behind them. All of their eyes bore into you and you stop as you stand before the two obvious leaders.

Your muscles tense and they begin to shake as your wolf side slowly draws you towards one side, your true nature, good or evil, slowly reveals itself as you make your decision. Which side will you choose? Will you choose the path of light and good? Or the path of dark and evil?

Summary:
Human Physical:
In human form he stands out from the crowd at 6’4ft tall and weighing close to 195lbs. His eyes are a dark brown color but in the light can have a reddish hue to them and have a glint of laughter and playfulness. He has messy unkempt reddish-brown hair and a good amount of scruff on his face to make him look roguish. He likes to keep things old-fashioned or have a rustic look, always wearing some kind of combat boots with jeans and rarely seen without his leather duster, which works wonder due to his his tall stature. Not really a man for fashion, he's usually seen wearing a wife-beater beneath his coat whether sun, rain, or snow; he's not afraid of the cold and will sometimes just walk around in a thin shirt or another wife-beater but to keep people from asking questions he'll throw on a leather jacket or his duster; he can't stand the heat though and will walk around shirtless when he feels like it. Let's just say he's wardrobe isn't much to look at no fashion does not mean no hygiene; he can be a bit messy but he's not disgusting. His voice his deep, a bit husky with a hint of an accent that's a blend between Irish and English due to his upbringing. He is also quite comfortable nude and unfortunately may walk around naked at times without regard to anyone else's discomfort, but of course not in public only within his home or where he feels comfortable to strip down and usually he's just shirtless. Isaak is described by others as a tall, lean, broad-shouldered man, muscular but not thickly built and looks more like a runner or basketball player than perhaps a weight-lifter. But he's solidly built and mostly muscle with little body fat on him. He's pretty hairy with his forearms and legs littered with dark hairs and his chest has fine dark hairs as well. In his human form he has some traits of his werewolf blood--he's stronger, faster, built sturdier than perhaps most but he has an excellent control and rare will use his assets unless needed. Usually he doesn't even tap into his werewolf abilities because due to years of long, intensive training the military he's already pretty strong, fast, hardy, and just overall an experienced and seasoned warrior.

Wolf Physical:
As a wolf he stands at a good 8’5ft tall, not too monstrous to hinder his movements but not too small to be easily overpowered. His fur is a mixed blend of reds, browns, blacks, and with a mead and white blend underbelly and legs. His coat is not too thick and both layers are pretty thin as it seems his ability to stand the cold also follows into his wolf form as well as his inability to stand much heat. His eyes are now a brownish dull gold that becomes molten in the light. His human eyes tend to shift into his wolf eyes when he's about to shift fully or when he's feeling a rush of emotions. His paws are rather large and his legs are thick and muscular, with his front legs being slightly thicker than his hind legs. Well proportioned his wolf form is built to be an all-around type of fighter; he surprises others with a good amount of speed for his size and a strength usually seen in larger wolves. His stamina is top notch from years of training in the military and he's just as good of a fighter in wolf form as in human form, if not better in human form because he can be more versatile.

Personality:
Quite lax, personable and carefree, Isaak is a friendly fellow who pretty much gets along with anyone. Although he wouldn't be called a social butterfly, people take to him well and it's hard to hate the guy. Easygoing, patient, and a good listener he attracts people with his charming and witty personality, his frequent sarcastic humor and occasional dirty jokes. He likes to laugh, the meaning of his name, and he's an overall good person, calling himself a gentleman even. But he is a disciplined person, well-mannered, adventurous, curious, and loves a challenge. He places great emphasis on trust, loyalty, respect, and honesty. Isaak is not one to tolerate rudeness, disrespect, and unnecessary violence and treats everyone equally and those higher than him with the utmost respect they deserve. But he is also an independent fellow who will not follow someone corrupt and not worthy of his loyalty. He does not take betrayal well and though he is hard to anger generally, there are certain areas where he can be very hot-headed and stubborn. He's not very big on cursing, but he does say "bloody hell" a lot instead and has a habit of calling males, 'mate', and females, 'love, darling, lass'. Usually with those superior to him he'll address as, 'sir' if they are male and 'milady' or 'madam' if they are female. Usually a quiet guy but if engaged he can be quite the conversationalist. He has his moments where he can be moody and dwell on the past but most of the time he's looking forward and living one day at a time. In stressful situations he's usually calm, composed, and level-headed and the kind to think first, act second. His personality doesn't change much as a wolf and he retains his friendliness but is cautious as well.

Past:
Born in the 1800s in the village of Inistioge, County Kikenny in Ireland Isaak was born to a single mother, Alannah Wolfgang. His mother was a Bitten, a human turned from a Pureblood's bite. He never knew his father but when he turned 10 his mother told him of how he was conceived. She had been a British anthropologist who had found out about werewolves. Rather than being frightened away of disbelieving the legends, she grew fascinated and wanted to learn more about these creatures she thought to be nothing more than myths. She found out too much one day and stumbled upon a group of pureblood werewolves in the midst of a meeting in a town in Ireland. They captured her and told her all she ever wanted to know about werewolves and their history. Knowing she knew too much but too beautiful to kill, the leader decided to turn her and claim her as his. Alannah survived the changing and was soon pregnant with child. One day when the wolves were out, thinking she wouldn't dare run, Alannah gathered up the courage to escape. Using all her knowledge she covered her tracks and found a way to hide herself from their detection. Slowly she made her way to the small village of Inistioge where she gave birth to a healthy boy. She knew her child was not normal, yet it did not stop her from loving him and giving him a chance at life. She named him Isaak for she hoped he would have laughter in his life, a life she wished so desperately for him to live. They remained in hiding, and throughout his life Isaak remembered having to constantly move houses and never really having friends.

But once he found out about his heritage and survived his first changing, he began to train himself to become stronger in order to protect his mother who still had bouts of anger where she could not control her wolf-self. He was 16 when his mother managed to smuggle them aboard a ship traveling to the United States to escape the Irish Potato Famine that struck Ireland. There they laid low and managed to escape detection from other werewolves in the states.

Soon the Civil War was hitting the USA and Isaak was enlisted into the military to fight for the Union. He told his mother to go into hiding until all was over and he would go find her. He was a hearty soldier, one of the best and his skills were applauded by the humans. Isaak always made sure to keep his abilities to a minimum to avoid detection. He made his way up the ranks, enough to gain respect but not enough to gain unwanted attention. He lead his squadron to victory in many battles and was later discharged as a hero after the war ended in 1865.

He went to find his mother, only to find she had been found by her assailants and murdered for running away. Two purebloods had been stationed at the safe house where his mother had stayed and with rage and unveiled fury Isaak attacked. Taken by surprise and by Isaak's training in the military as well as equipped with weapons, the two werewolves fell, one by bullet. The other had battled it out with Isaak in wolf form, was surprised by the uncanny strength the mutt possessed and soon fell to Isaak's fangs. The young wereling covered up the brutal killings by settling fire to the small hovel, bidding his mother goodbye as he erased his tracks and set off to live elsewhere away from where others could find him. He managed to save most of his mother's research and brought it with him to help him learn more about werewolves and himself.

He always laid low, never appear for too long to the humans in case they started suspecting something when he didn't age. He had changed his surname multiple times to avoid detection and he also participated in both WWI and WWII; in both wars he kept a low profile, performing well but never excelling enough to garner attention. After 1945 he once again laid low, working small jobs like hospital porters, technicians to pay his rent and to buy food and clothing. He didn't make many friends, not knowing who to trust but he made sure he had a friendly disposition and one people wouldn't find suspicious or memorable.

Soon after he was found by the werewolves who had tracked his mother. Isaak thought they had long forgotten and was surprised to see they had found him. There were four of them and one of him, but he put up a good fight and in the end only the leader was spared. Isaak warned the leader to stay from him; the next time they met he wouldn't be so merciful.

Finally Isaak was rid of the brutes that had plagued his childhood and had cost him his mother's life. But he had never been bent on revenge. His mother had brought him up well, teaching him to live not for revenge for for the present and for the future. She had always told him he would have better than to be on the run and living in the shadows. Perhaps it was time to find a pack. He was never able to learn enough from his mother's research as it was inconclusive. His curiosity to learn more about himself is another reason why he seeks out a pack. He heard that there were packs in New York so he packed up what little he had of belongings and moved to the Big Apple. From his mother's research he also discovered the existence of vampires although has yet to come across one.

((good lord I'm sorry to the one who has to read through all of that XD))

Example Post:

The alarm blurted out, an annoying ear-grinding sound especially to the ears of a wolf. A long muscular arm shot out of the covers to smack the OFF button on the digital alarm on the nightstand.

Movement beneath the covers on the bed soon revealed the face of a scruffy man as he stretched out his long limbs and used a hand to wipe the sleep from his eyes.

Yawning, the man swung his long legs from the bed to the floor and stood up to his full height. He wore only a pair of boxer-briefs as he sauntered his way into the bathroom in the apartment he shared with two others, two humans he might add. They had no idea what he was and he would like to keep it that way. He grabbed his towel, soap and shampoo along the way and turned on the hot water in the shower. He checked the watch on his left wrist and read, 4:15AM.

Stripping down what was left of his clothing he stepped into the shower and scrubbed away, waking himself up with the water and getting the blood pumping through his body. He had gotten used to the  activities of the hospital but he never liked the hours. He had to report to work everyday at 5 in the morning and he didn't get off until 5 in the afternoon with only a two hour break for lunch in between.

He didn't think a porter would be worked this hard, but it seems more people have been brought in injured and mysteriously hurt here in NY and he could only guess it was due to either vampires or werewolves or the normal human gangs; all three groups tend to bustle with activity when the sun goes down so who knows. Plus he had prior experience to working in hospitals and his attitude was well-liked by the staff so he was called in more often. Not that he minded he rather liked the over-time and the extra pay. It was nice to not be broke once in a while.

He got out of the shower, toweled his hair dry and then was about to forgo the towel but realized that he wasn't alone in the place and wrapped the towel around his waist. He cleaned his facial hair but left it nicely scruffy. Brushed his teeth, cleaned up and opened the bathroom door.

Only to come face to face with one of his roommates--well actually his roommate's girlfriend--one of the many girlfriends. She had her hand raised to knock on the door and her face was looking directly at his midriff. She snapped her head up to look at him and he could swear he saw her blushing. This wasn't new to him, he was used to it but still found it quite amusing much to his roommate's chagrin.

Who was this again? Brittany? Ashley? Haley? Bloody hell his roommate liked his 'ley's didn't he? Wait wait...she was...Tiffany, yeah Tiffany.

"Morning Tiffany, apologizes I was hogging the hot water," he told her with a good-natured grin that light up his handsome face.

Tiffany opened and closed her mouth like a fish out of water but no sounds came out; she just stared at him and Isaak realized he must look quite the sight with just a towel and hair still a bit wet with water.

"One sec, love. Let me grab my things and it's all yours," he added as he turned around, grabbed his boxer-briefs, grabbed his soap and belongings and walked out of the bathroom. He gave her a parting smile, her mouth agape and still watching him, as he retreated to his room to change for work.

In his room he threw off the towel and grabbed a clean pair of knickers. He then grabbed some clean jeans and stored then in a backpack for change after work. Going through his drawers he took out a grey wife-beating, slipped it on and then donned his scrubs. He folded up his leather duster and placed it in the backpack as well and then put on his black, lace-up Harley-Davidson boots. Grabbing his keys, wallet and things, putting them in the backpack and then walked out of the bedroom into the kitchen.

His human roommate and Tiffany were there and Isaak overheard her say, "Why didn't you tell me you had a hottie for a roommate?" Isaak stifled a chuckle as he grabbed some cold leftover pizza from the fridge and made his way to the door.

"Take it easy mate," Isaak called to his roommate and then left the apartment.

Chewing his pizza and walking down the stairs towards where he parked his bike, Isaak ran over the things he needed to do today besides work. He needed to get more information about the packs in the area and see which one to approach to join. A lone wolf was at risk of vampire attacks, hunter targeting, as well as other werewolf attacks.

He finished off his pizza, dusted off his hands and got onto his black Harley. Keys in the ignition he gunned the bike to life and pulled out of the apartment parking lot and drove towards the hospital.

((too long? let me know hope you enjoy it))

Ha, one of my characters was named Garrett after that vampire, actually. He's no longer here though, sadly. *tear*

Ah, splendid to hear! Luckily for you, there's lots of people from HG that play on here as well, including I and Teimhnin. You might know us. Perhaps you can chat with me in the cbox for a while?
