Keys jingled as she tossed them into her purse after locking the door to her Ford Mustang, a present for her last birthday from Numair. He had always had a lot of money, but she never really questioned where it was he got it from. Never needed to know, so she didn't ask. Another thing she had never asked was where the money her parents left for her had come from either. If she spent it wisely she would have enough to live off of for the next 50 years. Three inch heels clicked as she strode into the tiny coffee shop. She was in desperate need of a cup. She had been driving for what felt like eternity, but she had finally made it. She had always dreamed of coming here, and now she was making that dream come true.
She sat down at a table in the corner by the window and wrapped her fingers around the warm cup. Her soft hazel eyes gazing through the glass out at the street. A smile slipped across her face How's this for the next chapter she thought to herself, only to be greeted by an unpleasant voice that only made it's way into her thoughts on the rarest occasions anymore. Spectacular indeed dearie, we could have so much fun here the sickening voice whispered. Her smile quickly disappeared and was replaced with a scowl. She did her best to keep that monster at bay, but every now and then she slipped through. She let her right hand reach up to her shoulder and delicately picked a small chunk of hair from the rest and twirled it around her fingers rhythmically. She had done so for as long as she could remember. An old habbit. One she did especially when she was deep in thought as she was now. She propped her elbow onto the table, continuing to twist her hair around her fingers as she contemplated her next move.
She had heard tell of a pack in these parts. Something she had never been a part of before and from the stories her uncle had told her, she wasn't all that sure that she wanted to be part of one. It was a corrupt pack that had been the death of her parents, something she would never forget, but were they all so bad? She believe there was some good in the world, and hoped she may find it here. And begin a new chapter. A better one. One filled with new places, new people, and new adventures to be had. She longed for somewhere she would fit in, where she could be herself and not have to try so hard to be norma, and she prayed that this was that place.
