Their eyes shine in the moon’s light as they fight. Their movements are fluid, smooth, and predatory. Lean, taunt muscles lay beneath different colors of fur and sharp incisors are visible beneath black gums. Blood spatters over their beautiful coats and color the ground red as they snap, tear, and wound each other.

Fur standing on end, you approach the two groups as they pause and separate as they take notice of your presence. Two pairs of eyes stand out to you and unnerve you. Both seemed to draw the respect out of you without your consent as you lower your head and tuck your tail between your legs. Power radiated from them both, and you’re unsure whether it was the large, dark grey male with golden eyes, or the black female with bright green eyes that had the strongest air to them. They both stood across from each other, and large groups of other wolves and Werelings in human forms stand on each side behind them. All of their eyes bore into you and you stop as you stand before the two obvious leaders.

Your muscles tense and they begin to shake as your wolf side slowly draws you towards one side, your true nature, good or evil, slowly reveals itself as you make your decision. Which side will you choose? Will you choose the path of light and good? Or the path of dark and evil?

Summary:

Human Form: Naturally loose curls of dark chocolate hair cascade over her light ivory shoulders. It is more often than not found styled as such though the occasional side braid or high pony tail is seen in situations when such a vast amount of hair is troublesome. Despite her best efforts, the sun fails to kiss her skin with any hint of color, even on the hottest days. Soft hazel eyes sit within their sockets, inquisitively watching the days go by. Her figure is petite and feminine. Arianna stands in at a mere 5’2", dwarfed by most everyone she knows. Her short stature is the true reason the feisty young woman is almost always sporting heels though she will tell you she just likes how they look. To match her extensive collection of high heels, is a wardrobe that many would envy. It is rare to see her wear the same thing twice within a 6 month span. The bulk of her wardrobe is made up of dresses, skirts and a vast array of elegant tops, though the odd pair of jeans and simple tee-shirts have found their way into the midst of her prized collection of fashions.

Wolf Form: In wolf form she stands just barely taller at the shoulder than the head of her human form. Toping out at 5’5” she has often been ridiculed for her slight stature. But do not let her stunted size fool you, she is quick as a whip and has a fire within her that blazes wildly. Hazel eyes morph into a silvery blue when the wolf takes over. A thick mixture of grey, black and cream make up the majority of her pelt. The back of her ears are painted with a light copper that is also faintly present on her face around her eyes and lining the sides of her muzzle. The dark grey that stains her forehead sweeps down into two distinctive lines beneath her eyes.

Personality: The first thing many notice about this little fashonista is her quick tongue and confidence. She is a social butterfly and gets along with most everyone she meets. It is hard to get on her bad side as she is an extremely forgiving person, but if you manage to slip to her bad side, watch out. While she is an extremely cheery person, to aggravate her is worse than a death sentence as she will be sure to do everything in her power to make your life a living hell. She takes great pride in her appearance, and is always primped to perfection from her outfit, to her hair and makeup. But behind the make up and the cheery exterior is fear. Fear of the beast that dwells within her.  While she enjoys the heightened strength, speed, and senses, she is terrified of the wolf and the damage she is capable of while in wolf form. Being a pureblood, she is capable of staving off the change during the full moon which she is eternally thankful for. Her wolf form is a polar opposite to her human personality. For every ounce of happiness she possesses as a human, is translated into twice the anger, rage, and blood lust as a wolf. And while she has learned to control the monster in wolf form, she still fears that there will com a time when she can no longer contain what she has fought for years to cage up.

History: Arianna was born a pureblood to loving parents who cared for her and devoted their lives to her entirely. It was that very devotion that would take them from her at the young age of 5. When they had found out they were to have a child, they had left their pack. Corruption had writhed its way into the leadership of their pack and they wanted no part of it. And now with a child on the way, they feared for the safety of their child so abandoned the pack life for one of seclusion, far away from other werelings. They had moved to a small town to live with her “Uncle Numair.” Numair had been a close friend of her fathers for a very long time. Since she was only a young girl, she knew very little of what it was that they truly were. Only knowing so much that they were werewolves, but none of the details. The night she lost her parents is vividly burnt into her memory. It was a month after her 5th birthday. Nightmares had clouded her sleep and kept her awake, laying in bed listening to the faint sounds that night brought with it. Crickets chirped their midnight melodies beneath her window, the wind whispered through the trees, carrying the howl of a wolf in the distance with it. The howl had intrigued the young girl, but the intrigue was soon replaced by worry when the phone rang. Who was calling at such a strange hour? Her uncle’s voice drifted down the hall through the narrow crack in her door. Worry rang in his words. It had only been earlier that morning that her parents had left. Aria hadn’t been told where they were going, only that they had some things to take care of and that they would return within a few days time. But they would not return. Heavy footsteps sounded down the hall and quickly down the stairs, Numair’s voice seemed to be on repeat as she heard him pacing. ”No no no. How could this happen! I told them not to go!” he shouted into the phone. A loud crash startled Aria, but she was worried and raced down the stairs to find the lamp that usually perched on the side table smashed to pieces on the floor. Numair fell to his knees on the floor, tears swelling in his eyes. Aria ran to him, wrapping her arms around him ”Uncle what happened?!” she squealed.

The next few months were a blur of devastation. She didn’t understand why her parent’s weren’t coming home, why she would never see them again. All she knew was she missed her mother and father, and all she had left was Numair. He always tried his best with her. Treated her as his own, though knowing he could never fill the void left by the tragedy of losing both her parents at such a young age. He home schooled her to keep her safe, in constant fear that the werewolves from her parents former pack who had murdered them would come for the girl. The years flew by, closing in on her 14th birthday. Numair had been thorough in his education of what it meant to be a werewolf, and what was to happen once she turned 14. She was prepared for the pain of her first transformation, but what she wasn’t prepared for was what would happen that night.

Arianna had befriended the next door neighbour girl, Liz. The two were nearly inseparable, always finding new ways to keep themselves entertained. But when the day of her 14th birthday came, Aria had told Liz that they would not be able to play as she was ‘sick.’ Saddened that she would not be able to spend her birthday with her best friend, she knew it was for the best. That night is happened just as Numair said it would. The pain was excruciating. It felt as though every bone in her body was being broken repeatedly, her skin burned, and she screamed and pleaded for it to end. Through her screams of pain, a soft voice sounded, ”Aria..”,it was Liz. Her eyes widened in horror as she stared onto the site of Aria and her uncle. Before Numair could get to her, a blur of fur raced past him, knocking him over sending him crashing into the table. His head cracked on the corner of the table and the earth went black for Numair. Liz screamed for her life, but it would end that night.

Aria woke the next morning in the forest behind her house, clutching a torn and bloodied shirt. She screamed at the site of it and dropped in into the grass beneath her. At first glance she knew exactly who’s shirt it was. It belonged to Liz. Panic flooded over her. Her heart threatened to pound from her chest as she raced back to the house. Tears flowed from her face, stinging her eyes but she pushed on, running faster than she had ever run before. She could smell something, it was metallic, it almost smelt like…blood. Her mind raced, ‘Numair!’ she pushed even harder, her legs tearing up the ground beneath her. When she finally reached the house she was shocked to see the back door, broken off its hinges and half way across the lawn. She didn’t spare it a second glance and dashed into the house, desperately searching for her Uncle. She rushed into the kitchen, relieved at the site of him laying on the kitchen floor. Banged up, but alive. She dropped down beside him, tears flowing harder than ever as she hugged his still body. A groan emitted from his chest as she hugged him, causing her to jump back. Slowly he opened his eyes and when they landed on her, teary eyed and panic stricken, he was quick to his feet, worry plastered across his face. ”Aria are you alright?” But she wasn’t.

She broke down, sobbing into his arms. Between sobs she managed to say one word ”Liz” His arms tightened around her and he whispered softly to her ”Oh Arianna I am so sorry. I...” but his words were cut short by another voice. One that was not familiar to her ears. ”Careful dearie..Or he’s next.” the voice hissed menacingly. It was that day that her training began to cage the monster within.

Example Post: Soft hazel eyes peered upward into the brilliant blue eyes of her mentor. He would always hold a special place in her heart for what he had done for her. He had given her something no one else was able to give. Numair had taught her how to control the monster within. She would be indebted to him for the rest of her days. Without a word, she stepped forward, eliminating the gap between them and slipped her thin arms around his chest, closing them around him. The familiar embrace of his hug was quick to follow. The two stood in silence, her face buried in his chest, inhaling the strong scent of peppermint that always followed him.  The minutes ticked by, neither one budging an inch. Today was the day Arianna would set out to make a life of her own. Numair had taught her all that he could and thought it best that she experience all life had to offer. After what seemed like forever, a soft voice rang through Aria’s ears. ”Arianna it is time.” such simple words, yet they brought tears to her eyes. She had grown fond of Numair in their time together. He was more than just a mentor, he was a friend, something she had not had in a long time. Reluctantly she let her arms untwist from their embrace around him and fall to her sides.

As tears welled in her eyes she dropped her head, her dark brown hair falling over her face. Numair brought his hand to her chin and tipped her head back up to face him. His lips curled into a gentle smile as he wiped the tears from her cheek. ”Aria this is not the end, merely a new chapter in your life. We will see each other again, I am sure of it. Now you must go or you will be late.” She smiled back up at him, knowing that he was right. This wasn’t the end. It was a chance for a new beginning. She glanced up to the clock on the wall. If she didn’t leave now she would never make her plane. She lurched forward and wrapped her arms around him desperately once more and whispered ”Thank you Numair. For everything” She reluctantly released her grip once more and gracefully  spun on her heel to face the door. She inhaled deeply, holding the air captive in her lungs for a few brief seconds before slowly exhaling and reaching out to open the door. With a swift turn of the handle she swung the door open and stepped outside, greeted  by a yellow taxi, idling in the drive. She walked over to the cab and slipped inside. Her eyes gazed back at the house she had called home for the past 30 years. Tears threatened to spill from her eyes once more, but she fought them back, replaying Numair’s words in her head ”This is not the end, merely a new chapter” the taxi slowly pulled out onto the road and Arianna closed her eyes and took another deep breath. ”Here goes nothing.”
