Their eyes shine in the moon’s light as they fight. Their movements are fluid, smooth, and predatory. Lean, taunt muscles lay beneath different colors of fur and sharp incisors are visible beneath black gums. Blood spatters over their beautiful coats and color the ground red as they snap, tear, and wound each other.

Fur standing on end, you approach the two groups as they pause and separate as they take notice of your presence. Two pairs of eyes stand out to you and unnerve you. Both seemed to draw the respect out of you without your consent as you lower your head and tuck your tail between your legs. Power radiated from them both, and you’re unsure whether it was the large, dark grey male with golden eyes, or the black female with bright green eyes that had the strongest air to them. They both stood across from each other, and large groups of other wolves and Werelings in human forms stand on each side behind them. All of their eyes bore into you and you stop as you stand before the two obvious leaders.

Your muscles tense and they begin to shake as your wolf side slowly draws you towards one side, your true nature, good or evil, slowly reveals itself as you make your decision. Which side will you choose? Will you choose the path of light and good? Or the path of dark and evil?

Venantium or Eternals?

Out of all of the places in the territory of her new pack that she had seen, Daiyu believed that she would enjoy this one the most.  With so many scents running riot near the actual housing of the pack members, being close to there made her skin crawl.  Not like out here, though.  Here, the air was clean and quiet, punctuated only by the occasional seagull’s cry and the rhythmic washing back and forth of the ocean.  It was good to get a little break from the process of adjustment to being in such constant proximity to a pack.  She was indeed a long ways from truly thinking of it as her pack, after all.

Standing out on the beach, she kicked her shoes off.  The rest of her ensemble was rather more practical for her intended purpose of exercising than her signature high slitted red dress.  It was simple, consisting of a pair of tight though suitably flexible black pants and a deep red tank top and a black sports bra underneath, fortified by a few layers of bandage tape.  She took in a slow, deep breath and folded her legs beneath herself, sitting back on her heels and resting her knees in the fine sand.  Her eyes drifted closed and her hands rested lightly on top of her thighs as her breathing continued, deep and even.

After about five minutes of this meditation, Daiyu lifted to her feet with a smooth shift of her weight and launched into running through practice forms of various martial arts.  Starting with Tai Chi, then shifting into the long range and acrobatic aggression of Northern Shaolin Kung Fu, followed by the solid and powerful techniques of Ba Gua, and then the precise, long range attacks of Taikwon Do, and finally shifting into the subtle and calculated manipulations of Aikido.  All of this flowed seamlessly from style to style, form to form, and Daiyu’s mind was still.

In the distance the image of a large male could be seen, the wolf was on the move. His paws smacked the beach in thumps as he trampled through the water, kicking up salt and sand as he moved. Thick dark pelt rippled as his lean muscles shifted beneath it, tail snapping behind him. Nothing cleared Brutus's mind then a run. He enjoyed the peace.

Slowing down his pace his eyes caught sight of another female, she was training. Man did she have some serious martial arts moves. He approached from a distance and gave his pelt a big shake, removing sand and debris. His ears perked forward as her scent of salt and ocean filled his nostrils, Venantium. She was new. 'She looks like she would kick your ass..with all them moves.' Marco shot.

Stepping closer the male shifted and he looked her way, his sneakers crunching along the sand. "I've never seen you here?" he asked giving the female a small smirk. Dusting sand from his white t-shirt and dark gym shorts he looked over her, she was fit.

Daiyu’s mind was completely removed from her surroundings.  Every ounce of her focus was dedicated to perfecting her art and envisioning a swarm of opponents to fight through.  Each of her moves was countered by her imaginary opponents as she exercised not only her body, but her mind as well.  This was an art that she had learned from her brother before leaving her home and one that she put to frequent use.

A voice from quite close by yanked her out of her concentration and she whipped around, right hand flashing down to the small sheath strapped to her right thigh.  However, her senses were only slightly behind her reflexes and she managed to identify the scent that the male carried as belonging to the same pack as her.  Relaxing her posture slightly, she glanced up and down his body.  “You know, that’s a good way to get yourself hurt.  But yeah, we’re pretty new.  Name’s Daiyu, and you are?”  She watched the way that he moved and could tell that he had some fighting experience, though she couldn’t quite place what style it seemed.  He wasn’t too unattractive, either.

Brutus took a step back and let a growl rumble from his throat as she turned to reach for her weapon. Once she calmed down he relaxed and kept his attention on her. Smiling he nodded her way as she spoke, "Well dove I don't stumble upon many females practicing, none that carry knives on their thigh either..nice touch by the way." he said in his thick British accent.

'she was going to stab you...' 'Eh..I can take a hit you know that. Its my specialty.' he thought. Crossing his arms he looked her way and smiled, curious about how well she fought. "Names I assume you're a warrior too? Up for a little spar sometime?" he asked looking her way. Brutus liked the look of Daiyu she looked like she could take a hit and keep on coming.

Moving away from her he plopped down on the dry sand, eyes focused on the ocean for a bit. Leaning back he looked up at Daiyu,  "You've got skills, how many different fighting skills do you know?"

Daiyu smirked slightly at his comment about not having much experience in this sort of situation. “We’ve found it helps to have a weapon handy,” she said, noting his thick accent. Apparently there weren’t very many people born and raised in America in this pack. “Is this area supposed to be for something else? I’d hate to break a rule or two.” No, that wasn’t sarcastic at all.

It took her a moment to decide if he was talking about her rank in the pack being that of a warrior or her being a warrior in general. In the end, she decided that it didn’t really matter. “Pleasure to meet you, Brutus. Yes, we are a warrior. You sure you want to spar against us? We won’t hold it against you if you change your mind.

Crouching down beside him, she followed his gaze out to the ocean, wondering if he had seen something, then looked over at him when she decided not. “[color=#0404B4]Specifically, about sixteen, although several of those are simple variations of others, so really about nine, most of ‘em come from east Asia. And you? We can tell that you’ve got some experience fighting.[color]”

Brutus couldn't help but chuckle at her comment, a big grin plastered on his face. "Weapon? Dove we are weapons and naa I use this place to run because only occasionally will you see couples." he responded. Pulling a cigarette from behind his ear, it was tucked into his brown curls. Putting it in his mouth he lit it up and took a puff blowing the smoke away from Daiyu.

"I wouldn't go to hard on you because you're a female. 9 styles? Jeeze ya know dove I use to cage fight. Wasn't a pretty sight for my opponents but I can take a few thousand punches." he responded taking another puff of his cigarette. He blew a couple smoke rings and sighed, he knew smoking was bad. But hell, a lot of things in life were bad for you. You just have to pick and choose.

Enjoying the conversation he asked another question, "Where are you from? What made you join Venantium?"

Kaiko slowly walked along the side walk. Staring off into the middle distance her mind still on last nights nightmares. She often went for walk to try and clear away the remaining shreds of the old dreams and terror. Kaiko drew up short as she caught a scent on the breeze of someone she recognize, Closely followed by a second which she didn't. Slowing her walk she looked around and spotted him further down the beach.

Quietly talking with another female. Kaiko narrowed her eyes on the female taking in her scent from a distance. She certainly of her pack but not someone she had met. Arzevic let out a soft growl. Clearly annoyed and jealous about having another pretty female so close to Brutus.

Simmer down now she hasn't done anything, Kaiko thought watching them.
As of yet, Arzevic growled.
Kaiko wondered if she should go over and greet them or let them be. Neither of the pair seemed to have noticed her in the fact that the wind was blowing in her direction. It could be easy to just walk off and let them be but something refused to let her move or take her eyes off the pair.

Was she being territorial towards a female of her own pack? She softly snorted to herself.
Well it wouldn't exactly be the first time, Kaiko thought with a scowl. Kaiko watched them and then looked at the ground nearby. The waves sloshed against the sand.

She knew that wet sand acted much like snow. Well if she had to she could always ball up a bit and through it in Brutus's face to make him behave.
