Their eyes shine in the moon’s light as they fight. Their movements are fluid, smooth, and predatory. Lean, taunt muscles lay beneath different colors of fur and sharp incisors are visible beneath black gums. Blood spatters over their beautiful coats and color the ground red as they snap, tear, and wound each other.

Fur standing on end, you approach the two groups as they pause and separate as they take notice of your presence. Two pairs of eyes stand out to you and unnerve you. Both seemed to draw the respect out of you without your consent as you lower your head and tuck your tail between your legs. Power radiated from them both, and you’re unsure whether it was the large, dark grey male with golden eyes, or the black female with bright green eyes that had the strongest air to them. They both stood across from each other, and large groups of other wolves and Werelings in human forms stand on each side behind them. All of their eyes bore into you and you stop as you stand before the two obvious leaders.

Your muscles tense and they begin to shake as your wolf side slowly draws you towards one side, your true nature, good or evil, slowly reveals itself as you make your decision. Which side will you choose? Will you choose the path of light and good? Or the path of dark and evil?

Venantium or Eternals?

So rumors had been right, as soon as Brutus reached Long Island the smells changed. He could pick out the strongest one realizing he found the pack he was looking for. Walking along the side walk with his hands in his pockets Brutus went on his merry way. Smiling at the eyes of women that lingered to long and giving a friendly nod.

Just because he liked to beat people up didn't mean he wasn't friendly. On the contrary he had a very charming personality, he was likeable indeed. Enjoying the brisk weather Brutus headed down the side walk to get a peek at the ocean. Seeing a wooden bench nearby he took a seat and rested his arms on the wood. 'Finally we made it, I'm feeling friendly already.' Marco said within Brutus. That was his buddy, his best friend and most of all the beast within him. 'Can't say I disagree with your statement. It seems a bit quiet though but maybe that's what we need.' he thought. Lifting his right hand he patted the front pocket of his leather jacket and pulled out a cigarette. Then almost like a robot he slid his hand down to his dark blue jeans and looked for his lighter

Slipping the addictive habit between his lips he lit the tip and took a slow drag. Leaning forward he rested on his arms and watched the waves crash against the rocks. Funny, that reminded him of how Marco and him got along at times. One unwilling to give into the other, until they learned to live together. Brutus brushed dirt from his green V cut t-shirt and sighed, he wondered how long it would take for someone to catch him.

'Before we go through with this, does this mean no fighting at all?' Marco asked listening to Brutus's thoughts. 'I assume that we will have to take a hiatus from it. Who knows maybe it'll be like back home and there will be competitions.' he thought while taking another drag of his cigarette. Exhaling the smoke he blew large smoke rings, enjoying the quiet.

Paws pounded against the ground, making barely any noise against the sand as the large wolf moved along the beach. Her lungs inflated and deflated with each large gulp of air. The Alphess hadn’t wanted to put up with the boring walk it would take to get to the city for her border patrols. The pack had been very busy as of late, and the excitement bubbled in both her wolf and herself. They had started out with only three, but were steadily growing in numbers. These thoughts passed through her mind as she made her way closer to town and finally shifted back, the wolf becoming a human looking spectacle once more. The Alphess was a crimson haired woman, curved and powerful in her own right. The throwing daggers in her jacket said as much as she walked and weaved through the crowds of humans, checking the borders as she went along. The farther she went, the more she was satisfied until a small disturbance in the scent made her pause. Another newcomer, she had expected as much except for this one was male. So far, only Alex and Jace were the only males who belonged to the pack. She was excited that a new one was there, and a smile was on her face as she caught sight of the newcomer and walked towards him.

Stopping to the side of him, she held her chin up in a dominant manner and looked at the male. Her arms crossed and she narrowed her eyes at the smug look his face made whenever a human female passed. It was fine if that kind of gaze remained on the humans, but if it turned to her she’d smack the smug look right off his face.

Teimhnin could sense the arrogance that practically dripped from this man, but it didn’t both her a single bit. She simply rolled her eyes and clear her throat to get his attention. “I’m Alphess Teimhnin. I presume you are here to gain acceptance. Who might you be?”  She tilted her head questioningly and prepared to say what she needed in order for him to be accepted. The Alphess was going to keep this meeting as short and to the point as she did with the others members. He was no exception.

His light eyes watched the waves crash and spill onto the beach's edge, he kept his attention solely on the water. The sounds flooded his ears as he tried to relax his body, he was still a bit sore from his last fight. Though it was only a few days ago Brutus was still enjoying the high of victory. When she cleared her throat it caught him off guard. He hadn't realized the scent had grown stronger instantly and smiling he looked up at his future Alphess.

“I’m Alphess Teimhnin. I presume you are here to gain acceptance. Who might you be?”

"Brutus Ceasar dove, nice to meet ya." he said standing up to properly greet her. America or not he still had a British accent, something he was happy to keep through the years.'That's going to be our Alphess? Oh man I'm liking this pack stuff already.' Marco said with a smirk on his muzzle. 'Listen mate, I'm pretty sure shes got an Alpha. Don't hold your breath.' Now Brutus was no stranger to the pack way and he looked down for a moment before lifting his eyes back to hers. With a tilt of his head he took in her features quickly, he could always appreciate a redhead. The 6'1 male bowed his head in respect and went to his pocket for another cigarette, slipping it between lips he looked her way.

"I came here to seek acceptance to the pack, because I don't want to be a loner anymore. I was doing some cage fighting in the city and I happened to hear some females talk about packs in the area. This lead me over here and well the rest is history. Here I am." he said with the cigarette wobbling between his lips.

Lighting the end he took a drag and turned to the side, he didn't want to blow smoke in the Alphess's face. Exhaling he looked her way and shrugged, "Skill wise I'm pretty quick and I've fought all my life. I'd like to think I could be a pretty good protector of the pack." he added with a half smile. He noted Teimhnin's posture and he frowned, he could tell she wasn't amused with him. 'Probably because you're a cocky bastard.' Marco huffed. 'Confidence..a confident bastard.' he thought with a smirk.

“It’s a pleasure, Brutus. I thought as much, you don’t need to tell me your reasons or your past. The Alpha and I own the island, our pack members do as they please here. Whatever fits your fancy, go for it. We are able to provide you your own living spaces but, we also expect that you provide for yourself. It’s my responsibility to get you a career of your choosing and a home, but then you are paying for the rest. If you want to continue cage fighting, that’s more than fine. But if you want to step up in that profession, I have my connections.” The Alphess arched a brow and looked at him, catching his appreciative gaze with a small smirk. He reminded her of another male she knew when she first met him, and now he was the Alpha. Confidence either brought potential or failure, which one was for Brutus to decide. She didn’t care either way, but it was always best to have a pack that had good heads on their shoulders. Teimhnin brushed a piece of hair from her eyes and listened to him speak. He had an accent quite like her ‘brother’, Alex. Maybe they’d meet in the future, it’d actually be quite amusing in her opinion.

Nodding along to what Brutus said, she replied to him once she was done. “Well, we already have a guardian male. You’d be a warrior, but I need your pledge to protect the pack with your life. Can you do that much?” Looking at Brutus, she arched her eyebrow and looked at him questioningly.

(Sorry for the short posts, just trying to get you accepted! )

Brutus nodded as she spoke taking in everything she said, finishing his cigarette he tossed it aside. He let the last bit of smoke leave his nostrils as he thought for a moment, this was it. It go back to a pack was to stand by them forever. 'Lets do this.' Marco stated. 'You got it buddy.' Brutus thought and turned to Alphess Teimhnin he knelt down to his knees.

With sand sticking to his jeans he placed his palms on the ground and he looked down before speaking. "I Brutus Cesar vow to protect the pack with my life an give my strength to my Alphas. As well as  handling any other requests asked of me by my pack." he said in a serious tone. He was a bit old fashion when it came to showing respect, at least he showed his seriousness. His light eyes stared at the sand as he said those words, he had remembered every word from the last time he moved up a rank. "I would also like to step up in the profession, I think I need to stay out of the cage." he added looking up to Teimhnin.

[Its okay, I know you want to get in and out. Lol]

She watched him as he pledged his vow and nodded, finding it satisfactory. The Alphess wasn’t going to touch him, or declare him knighthood or anything like that. Her hand gestured for him to stand as she took a piece of paper from her jacket and a pen, writing down a name for him to call while walking towards the beach houses that were for members like she had done so many times before. “Welcome to Venantium, Warrior Brutus. This guy I’m having you call is named DeClancy. He’ll test you out, see how you are, and probably hire you to fight for him as long. No cage fights, that much is promised.” Handing him the piece of paper, she then gestured to the houses. “Pick any one that isn’t occupied. There are houses, apartments, condos, you name it. Now, if you’re all set, I need to be going. There are some calls that I need to make myself.” Nodding once, she walked from the place and headed back home.
