Their eyes shine in the moon’s light as they fight. Their movements are fluid, smooth, and predatory. Lean, taunt muscles lay beneath different colors of fur and sharp incisors are visible beneath black gums. Blood spatters over their beautiful coats and color the ground red as they snap, tear, and wound each other.

Fur standing on end, you approach the two groups as they pause and separate as they take notice of your presence. Two pairs of eyes stand out to you and unnerve you. Both seemed to draw the respect out of you without your consent as you lower your head and tuck your tail between your legs. Power radiated from them both, and you’re unsure whether it was the large, dark grey male with golden eyes, or the black female with bright green eyes that had the strongest air to them. They both stood across from each other, and large groups of other wolves and Werelings in human forms stand on each side behind them. All of their eyes bore into you and you stop as you stand before the two obvious leaders.

Your muscles tense and they begin to shake as your wolf side slowly draws you towards one side, your true nature, good or evil, slowly reveals itself as you make your decision. Which side will you choose? Will you choose the path of light and good? Or the path of dark and evil?

Venantium or Eternals?

1 Over the bridge on Mon Oct 14, 2013 8:24 am

Grabbing two suit cases and a box stacked high of her favorite books, she stuffed them into the back seat beside her. Even though she was leaving her stuffy apartment in the city, it still was bitter sweet departing.

As the cab driver sped through the city Sanaa reached forward and squeezed the passenger seat in anticipation, her fingers stretching the tired leather. Her knuckles began to turn white as she held her breath, she had waited far to long to do this. Did she still remember all the old rules? Would they even accept her? Honestly, she packed up her home in a whim. Vowing that if she was rejected she may catch a plane to California and never look back.

What did her father call that? Ah, running from her responsibilities. Huffing out a big sigh Sanaa sat back and let the cab start its journey over the bridge. Watching out the window she spoke rather loudly once they were halfway. "Just here no further....T-thank you. she said ignoring his glare.

"Ah alright, that'll be 30.45 please." the taxi driver retorted.

She supposed she could understand why the driver looked so confused, I guess he didn't drop many people off in the middle. "Here's 40.00 keep the change." she said stepping away from the vehicle. With a screech of the tires, the taxi cab was gone.

Walking rather briskly in her knee high leather boots, she exited the bridge. The sight of Long Island always made her smile, it looked like this area knew how to slow down. Not so much hustle and bustle of the city she was use to. Quietly with her box in her arms she made her way down to the beach's edge. Setting her things down she stepped towards the water. Sanaa could smell all types of scents around her, some faint and some strong. She wondered how many actually lived in this pack.

Staring at her reflection in the water, a pang of guilt shot through her as she remembered her homeland. Biting her lip she spoke to no one particular, "You can lead a horse to water but you cant make them drink. That is how life is.." A small chuckle left her lips as she continued to stare, how right her father had been. Explaining one day she would wake up and NEED a pack, today was that day.

“Teimhnin you must try this on, it is simply divine and would be perfect for your physique,” the shop manager said, holding out a beautiful blue cocktail dress. The Alphess couldn’t resist the satin fabric and did just as the human suggested. Humans may be the lesser species of that island, but they had an incredibly wonderful taste in fashion. Like the human had said the dress fit perfectly and was being placed into a shopping bag a few moments later and with a single swipe of a card. The Alphess wore a light, flowing tank top that belted around the waist with jeans tucked into knee-high boots. Crimson hair was put up into a pair of chopsticks that held strongly. Within seconds, the Alphess was out the door and into the large crowds of people as they made their way to their destinations.

After putting what she bought into the safety of her own home, Teimhnin decided it might be best to get some air. She walked to the borders of her pack with a small smile upon her face. To her, the pack was a like a paradise. No troubles, no worries, nothing to bother their island. Pack members were allowed to do as they wished as long as they understood there was no protection for them beyond the borders. Something made the Alphess double back and take a long inhale of the border’s scent. Unfamiliar wolf in what was most likely unfamiliar territory for them. Locked onto the scent, Teimhnin followed it and worked her way weaving through the crowds of people.

What she came upon was a wereling female, one that looked rather peaceful at that. The Alphess smiled slightly and walked over to the other female. She cleared her throat to make her presence known and smiled brightly. “Welcome to the Venantium borders. I’m the Alphess of this pack, Teimhnin. Who might you be?” She offered her hand to the new wereling in an act of kindness. This female wasn’t one from Brave heart, that much she could tell. It was going to be a delight in meeting someone new that she hadn’t before. Teimhnin kept the smile in her eyes and waited politely for the other female to speak.

Sanaa's hazel gaze lifted from the water and she turned at the sound of the Alphess's throat clearing. Looking down at the ground Sanaa bowed her head in respect and gently placed her hand in Teimhnins giving it a friendly shake.  "Pleasure Alphess Teimhnin, I am Sanaa Luthern. I had heard your pack was accepting of loners and I am looking for a home." she stated eyes still looking at the ground.

Sanaa could pick Teimhnin's scent from all the others it was the strongest and she could tell the Alphess carried herself well. Placing a small smile on her features Sanaa spoke once more, "Since I was born I've been studying medicine and herbs.I find it intriguing and I'd love to be a healer in the pack if you'll accept me." she stated still looking down. Fiddling with her hair Sanaa pushed a few strands behind her ears and sighed. It had been quite sometime since she felt this nervous, like a child on the first day of school. Twisting her gold ring on her middle finger she held her breath once more.

[excuse the short post. I am on my phone at work, its slow.  (: ]

Tucking a piece of hair behind her ear, the Alphess smiled brightly and beckoned for the newcomer to walk with her. She lifted the suitcases easily and left Sanaa to carry the box. If she was going to become a new member, she might as well become situated. It seemed like this wereling was shy. Teimhnin would do her best to make this newcomer feel welcome, but all opinions were up to her. “It is a pleasure to meet you and I thank you for choosing to come to this pack, Sanaa. Indeed, we are accepting loners and any others in fact.” The Alphess began walking with Sanaa along the borders, leading her to the place where she would find a living space.

“It is a most convenient time that you have come. We need more doctors than we have, you’d be a perfect fit for a job. My mate, Jace, and I provide you with a house to live in on one condition. You must provide for your own, take care of all your own expenses. I can get you the job of your choice conveniently anywhere in the island. You may choose your profession, and I’ll get you the job easily.”
She smiled and stopped in front of a row of buildings. There was a variety of houses, apartments, and anything else a person would find comfortable to live in. The beach began right from the front door of each of them, a private beach that the Alpha pair had bought themselves. “You may pick a space that isn’t occupied for your living quarters for now. In time you can settle wherever you want on this island, or stay in one of these places. I think it would be appropriate to give you the rank of Doctor, what do you say?”

"I would be honored to hold the Doctor rank, thank you so much for this oppurtunity. I will keep my end and offer my services to you as much as possible." she said with huge grin. Following her Alphess to the shore line Sanaa peered over at the houses, they were so cute. It all looked so peaceful and serene. She could barely contain herself as she held the box tightly to her chest, turning to Teimhnin she nodded.

"You've got a lovely home here, I can't thank you enough for this. If you had a job that needed a nurse or a doctor. I'd love to do that or I always wanted to run a herbal store full of organic medicines used from our earth. Green houses or a good ole vitaman store." she added with interest. It must've been her need to learn that made her excel in medicine, then dabble in herbals and grow plants.

Turning to look out towards the ocean, Sanaa felt the sun warm her skin as the breeze carried wisps of hair around her face. Taking a big breath Sanaa looked to Teimhnin and dipped head, " Is there anything I can help you with now?" she asked in a friendly tone.

Teimhnin smiled and nodded happily before taking Sanaa’s hand and patting it gently. “It is my pleasure, Sanaa. We needed a Doctor and I’m sure you’re perfect for the rank.” She smiled and listened to the career choosing of the female. How interesting, an herbal store. It would be a pleasant idea and wore werelings needed to get out and own a piece of the community. Thinking back to the people of real-estate that she new, sne nodded and took out a piece of paper from her purse. Writing a phone number, she handed it to Sanaa and smiled. “Here, this is a guy I know named Jack. He’ll be sure to find you the perfect building and space for your herbal store. Just tell him Tei sent him and there will no expenses until you start making a suitable amount of money to support yourself.”

Releasing Sanaa, she smiled once more and shook her head slightly. “The only thing you could help me with would be settling yourself in and that would be all. But now, I think I must be going home if that’s alright. My phone number is there as well in case you need anything. It was a great pleasure to meet you dear, I hope I will be seeing you again in a beautiful herbal shop.” With that, the Alphess gave one last smile and left with the satisfaction of helping another new member.

Sanaa was speechless as Teimhnin grabbed her hand and gave it a soft pat. Tears filled her eyes and she nodded wiping at them gratefully, "Thank you so much, I will be up and running soon." she added setting down her box and taking the suitcases from her Alphess.

She smiled and chuckled, "Of course. I can handle myself enjoy your night!" she said giving her a wave good bye. Holding both suitcases with one hand Sanaa scooped up her box and headed straight for the houses. She looked for one that fit her perfectly, it seemed like the doctor's office was in the front and her home in the back. Content with her choice she collapsed on the bed, giving a happy scream into her new pillow. She was home.
