Their eyes shine in the moon’s light as they fight. Their movements are fluid, smooth, and predatory. Lean, taunt muscles lay beneath different colors of fur and sharp incisors are visible beneath black gums. Blood spatters over their beautiful coats and color the ground red as they snap, tear, and wound each other.

Fur standing on end, you approach the two groups as they pause and separate as they take notice of your presence. Two pairs of eyes stand out to you and unnerve you. Both seemed to draw the respect out of you without your consent as you lower your head and tuck your tail between your legs. Power radiated from them both, and you’re unsure whether it was the large, dark grey male with golden eyes, or the black female with bright green eyes that had the strongest air to them. They both stood across from each other, and large groups of other wolves and Werelings in human forms stand on each side behind them. All of their eyes bore into you and you stop as you stand before the two obvious leaders.

Your muscles tense and they begin to shake as your wolf side slowly draws you towards one side, your true nature, good or evil, slowly reveals itself as you make your decision. Which side will you choose? Will you choose the path of light and good? Or the path of dark and evil?

Venantium or Eternals?

Running through the rain, clutching his beloved Teimhnin in his arms, he made his way from Finaqua. Her fiery red hair dangled from her head, binding each strand together, forcing them to hang as one. Every now and then the Beta, now loner, would look down to her skin, watching her pigment decrease in color ever so slowly. In his deepest thoughts, he hoped to see her smile to him, or feel her caress his face with her delicate palm. Water blended with sweat as he moved about the land, dripping from his face. He could feel the night's chill trying to surround him, wishing for him to stop, give up, and fall to the floor. But the male would not quit. He was determined to save her life. His journey led him from the green covered railroads, through the city streets, down their alleys, and finally making it to the bridge. As he planted his foot forward, he pushed his way along, walking to the side while cars passed him, splashing both of them with the water that had collected on the floor. Jace ignored these things for one purpose. As he made his way across the bridge, he ignored the eyes of man and made no eye contact with anyone, even those who yelled to him from their vehicles. His mind focused on her while his feet led the way. Crossing through neighborhoods and rural areas, he finally stopped at the door step and fished his keys from his pocket. He could hear her breathing now, no longer blocked out by passing cars, the crunching of dead leaves, or the other sounds of the city.

| Earlier That Day |

Jace had been lying to Teimhnin for months. During his extra long days of work, he was actually meeting with a woman. She was the opposite of T. Instead of stunning red locks, her hair was onxy black and wore it in a short cut. Her bangs crossed over her forehead from one side to the other. Her eyes were a cinnamon brown color, and her voice much like that of a siren's. The two of them sat across from one another at the Griffen, he is his court-room best, while she wore a strapless vibrant red dress. They shared a bottle of wine, laughing often, while also speaking in serious tones. To a common bystander they would think the two were in love, but that was far from the truth. Jace had been doing all he could to pull more money from his job. He worked long hours, but still she would meet him after for their business. She always seemed so happy to do it, meeting him anywhere he asked. Their meeting places were never the same, but today was special and probably the best day they would ever share. She carried a binder, tight in her grip, placing it beside her glass of wine. His eyes mulled over it, then brought them to meet her gaze. "Is that for me?" he asked in an alluring tone. A smile tugged at her cheeks, forcing her white teeth to be displayed. "It is if you it to.." she said as she handed him the binder, taking her glass in hand, sipping from it. Taking the binder from her, he opened the cover to discover many protective sheets filled with papers. As he flipped through it, he eyed the information, reading every detail. No page was left unturned. Finally his eyes lit up with excitement. "Yes! This is it!" he shouted as if his favorite football team had won the Superbowl. Eyes stared at him, angry for his disruption to their conversations. Reaching across the table, she grabbed his hand and smiled. "Then it is your Jace." As they finished their meal, she handed him a set of keys. Grasping them tight in his hand, he smiled to her and nodded his head. She wrapped her arms around him and gave him a hug filled with feelings she wished he shared for her. Parting ways, Jace went back towards his home, knowing perfectly well that she would be working late. Entering the house with new keys in hand, he rushed to their room.

| The Present |

Stepping inside, he whispered to her, "this is not how I imagined you seeing our new home..." He rushed her limp body to the Mender's room. As he moved to the side of the bed, he placed her down on it gently. He placed a warm blanket over her body, leaving her arm exposed, and continued the preparations. Gathering the necessary materials such as bandages, gauze, needles, sacks, and tubes, he started right away. Piling them on a table next to her face, he took off his shirt. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out his phone and dialed the first person he could think of that knew absolutely everything about vampires. As soon as heard a 'hello" from her, he began his small and excited rant. "Natasha, please come quick. Teimhnin is in dire need of your help. I have no time to explain, just please meet me at the address I am texting you." After hanging up the phone, he immediately texted her the address and placed it down on the table. Using his teeth and opposite hand, Jace secured a rubber tube around his arm, above the elbow, forcing the veins to expose themselves underneath his skin. His ringers ran along the veins, feeling for the one with the most blood flow, finding it, he prepared the needle and tube assembly. He hung the sack to the upright pole, and the tube ran straight to the syringe, connected to the needle. Feeling over his veins once more, he jabbed the needle into his arm, pumping the blood and beginning to fill the pouch. His eyes watched as it moved from his body to the tube and to the pouch. He would give her as much as she needed. For a long time he looked over Teimhnin's body, watching her sleep peacefully. His eyes began to blur and he could feel himself becoming weak. Slowly his eyes moved to the pouch of blood. It was almost full. Instead of trying to rip the needle from his arm, he fell into a deep sleep. In his dreams, he was with her. They laid on the white beaches with one another, basking in their togetherness. He heard her laugh, the sweet way she said his name, and looked into her alluring eyes. In this place she was happy. In this place she was safe. While in his slumber, his weak hand reached for hers, grabbing hold of it as tightly as possible

Natasha had been fairly new to the mansion, meeting the wolves here and there. But she never forgot her interaction, and first meeting with Teimhnin. the Beta female of Braveheart. The two found each other in the bluebell fields, and worked together to kill a vampire. It was a beautiful thing. It almost seemed as though Natasha had found her match, the piece to lock in place with her own, but as she spent more time in the mansion, she learned of the true desires of the female's heart. It was on that very day that she swore herself to the Braveheart pack with her words, but her heart spoke of something very different. She devoted herself to the protection of Teimhnin, making sure no harm would come to her. If she were ever called for her services, Natasha would jump into action and help as much as she could. The warrior minded her own business for the most part. She watched as friendships and relationships formed in the pack, wishing it would someday happen for her as well. She had noticed the increase amount of times she would find Jace leaving the door which lead to the Beta's room. He was quite the looker, tied for hottest male in the pack with no other than the Alpha Male himself. Shivers ran down her spine as she thought of Gabriel, how easily he had pulled her attention. But he was not the only werewolf that aroused such primal desires. Natasha yearned for the female touch, Teimhnin's to be exact.

This day was like any other, spending her time searching for more vampires. She moved about the boundaries of the pack, as well as taking strolls in the city limits, recording her findings or traces of any evidence. She also found time to herself in the study, researching what others had also discovered, migration patterns, and other things which rapidly changed among the undead rivals. She knew they were here, but where were they? By lunch she was glued to her laptop, recording all of her findings in her laptop. Still in communication with her old pack, she forwarded them the information. As well as asking for more information in return. She had accomplished so much progression in her studies since being here. Her knowledge of the cold ones had expanded immensely. By the evening, she had ordered Chinese food and was snuggled on the couch, watching TV. Releasing a sigh, she flipped through the channels. Taking a bite of her orange chicken, she felt her phone vibrate on her lap. Grabbing it up and pushing it against her cheek, she answered with a "hello?" As soon as she spoke, the voice on the other line started spewing out words in a deep and fast paced voice. It sounded frantic as it rattled on, only catching "Teimhnin". Soon the voice hung up and moments later her phone vibrated yet again. Picking it up, she grabbed her motorcycle helmet, strapped on her boot, and made her way, following the directions provided by her phone. Riding on the dotted lines, she moved about the traffic and other passing cars with ease. She was like a ninja on the road, turning and swerving, not getting hit by anyone. "Stupid city traffic..." she mumbled to herself. As she came to the bridge, she sped up, driving well over the posted speed limit. But at this rate she did not care, it sounded as if Teimhnin was in trouble, and the male who she assumed to be Jace, needed her badly. Turning into the neighborhoods, she made her way down the road. Once outside the house, she parked her bike in the driveway, looking for any signs of them. No cars, no bikes. He must have walked. As she approached the house front, the door was wide open. Cautiously she stepped inside, looking around as she did. "Teimhnin? Jace?" she called. There were no replies to her. Natasha grasped the hilt of her blade, ready to strike if need be, but as she moved about the house, she could see the muddy footprints, mixed with blood and another substance. She followed them, ready and willing.

As she turned the corner, her eyes fell on the red head, lying on the bed, and the male beside her. A pouch filled with blood hung above their heads and Jace looked very weak. Ripping the needle from his arm, she covered the spot with a bandage, applying pressure just in case anymore blood wished to flow out from him. She untied the band from his arm and wrapped it around Teimhnin's, feeling for her prominent veins as well. Once it was ready, Natasha attached the blood filled pouch to the tubing and slowly squeezed it, forcing it down and into her arm. Natasha watched as the blood flowed into Teimhnin and brought color back to her face. While looking over her arm, she noticed a strange bite, one she had seen before. A vampire bite. With that realization, she quickly ran to her bike, gathering some herbs from her compartment seat. Running back inside, she made it to Teimhnin's side. Taking the herbs in her palms, she searched for a bowl and mixed them inside, breaking them up and adding a touch of oil to make them form together. As she finished the mixture, she laid it over Teimhnin's bite mark, then searched for any other spots as well. Any wounds that had not healed up, were then covered with her concoction. Looking to the passed out male, she walked into the kitchen and gathered what little food she could find. Bringing it back to him she slapped him across the face, waiting for him to wake up. As he did, she forced him to eat. Regaining his energy and color was key.

Slowly coming to, the male opened his eyes. His visions of Teimhnin faded. No beaches, no sun. He was back in the real world. His hand lifted from his side, feeling his other arm, touching the bandage, curious by its existence. The last he remembered was hooking himself up and collecting the blood for her. How had this material gotten here and why did his face sting so badly? As his hazel hues wandered the room, he found Natasha standing beside him, looking at him as if he were a zombie coming back to life. He felt food being forced into his mouth, instinctively he chewed it and swallowed the contents down. It was then that he remembered why she was here. He had told her to come. Teimhnin. Jerking to the side to see her, he moved his knees to be pressed against the bed. "Is she going to be alright?" he asked with concern present in his voice. As he waited for ehr reply, he looked over her slumbering body. She looked to so at peace, how could he be worried any longer? Her pigment had started to return and immediately his eyes looked to the needle strapped to her skin. The blood was flowing inside of her, his blood. As tired as he was, and weak feeling, he managed to smile and even laugh a tiny bit. He ran a hand over her brow, feeling it being warmer than before. He looked to her bite mark, inspecting it as it seemed to be slowly disappearing. What did Natasha do to fix something as that? He carefully leaned over her, kissing her forehead, returning to his seat. "I love you so much Teimhnin. You are going to make it. You can push through this." he whispered to her, knowing all too well Natasha could hear him. Averting his eyes to the female behind him, he gave her a smile. "Thank you for coming and saving my mate so quickly. I fear without you here she would have died. I don't know of vampires very well.. I've never seen them, well not until today. It was the strangest thing." pausing for a moment, he looked to her again. "If there is anything I can do to repay you, please tell me. I shall do whatever it is." He looked back to Teimhnin, running a hand through her hair, he spoke yet again, "how long will she be like... this?" His eyes did not return to Natasha, just kept on his mate.

A soft giggle forced through her squeezed lips as she watched the male come to. Forcing the foo into his mouth was rather fun, like watching a baby learn to eat solid foods for the first time. He must have been in shock for how slow his body was reacting to everything. But she held her laughs inside, Jace was obviously hurting. She could never imagine seeing the one she loved in that way. Well, she cared highly for Teimhnin, but she knew Jace loved her more than she could ever imagine. If one thing was to be said for Jace, he was loyal like a dog. Listening to his words, she wrapped her arms around herself, holding them there as she thought of the perfect words to tell him, knowing he as not strong enough for any scares. "She will be fine Jace. She just needs to sleep and take all the remaining blood from that pouch. Once she takes it all, we shall give her some time and I shall strap her up for her vitals. You will probably have to go make some kills around the area, collect their food for her, for she can't continue to feast on you, nor I. If we are both weak, then we will surely lose her. But do not worry. Finish your food and hunt when you are ready." Natasha gave him a warm smile and looked over the peaceful lady once more. He grew quiet, focusing on T, touching her and expressing his love for her. It was very touching, and again Natasha was jealous of them. They had something that every young lady dreamed of, true love. Jace had almost killed himself without knowing it to save her. If he would have lost anymore blood, it would have been the end for him. Soon he spoke to her once again, and this time he mentioned things she already had known. "Tell me of this vampire Jace... Was there only one? Or were there more? What did he look like? How did he smell?" She looked over him as she waited for his answer. But then he asked yet another question, one she really did not wish to answer. "There is no certain amount of time that I can tell you.. I wish there was more. We just have to be confident and believe in her. She will come back. I promise.."
